09 LNF Knock retard and fuel level.
Recently I made a discovery that is new to me about these PCM's.
I noticed that once my fuel level gets to ~1 gallon or less the PCM becomes hyper sensitive and will start logging massive amounts of knock.
This is all fake anticipated knock.
The minute I filled the tank up it stopped.
I mean, it became so sensitive that just touching the throttle would trigger massive amounts supposed KR. I could induce it very easy and maintain KR with no effort.
I don't know if this was known but thought I'd share it.
My theory is they program this in to be on the safe side incase someone runs their car low enough to suck in air which would definitely cause lean spikes.
Better safe than sorry I suppose.
