All E67 ECM's need to have a write entire everytime. There is a bug/glitch in HPT's software that causes it. They know about it, but I do not think that it will be addressd any time soon. Glad the thread was of help to you.

L61 = 2.2 with the E16a PCM

2007 and newwer L61 = E37 PCM

LE5 = 2.4 with the E67 PCM

08 LE5's have a differnt PCM I forgot which this one is though.

LSJ = 2.0 with the P12 PCM

Just common knoweldge. But if you are not sure HP Tuners can tell you, or a local dealer aswell

what are the pros/cons to the first part of the steps (to lower your IDC)

what would you suggest? lower the IDC as shown, or upgrade to stock LSJ injectors?

08 LE5 use the E37 ecm, not currently supported by HPT

Well, I would rather just tuned for the IDC's it's easy enough to do. And you dont have to buy any other parts. IMO you do not need larger injectors till you are boosted, or have head work and cams.

Start with your car - and go through the VCM suite help files ... all of them x2

I suggest the pro kit - plug in through the EIO port instead of going through your
a/c unit

I wish I would have seen this before this weekend. Would have saved me alot of time and heartache. Looks like I'll be able to finish what I started at least. good information, no wonder there was no LTFT or STFT tables in the histogram....

This info is directed to the LE5 more so then the LSJ. You can still set the histo's up. But I would not go with alot of the values I posted for your car.

Can you tell if your injectors go static by logging your LTFT?

if your injectors are maxed out, your fuel trims will say somehting like +25% and up, am I right?

Is the HP Tuners VCM Suite all that you need to start tuning, or will you need something else?

Seriously guys, I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to tuning and do not believe I have enough knowledge for all this. But I am willing to spend some money on someone that can. I live in the Baltimore area and not sure how to locate a local guy to tune my le5. Or is there any programmers that someone could send me a link to? Haven't found any decent ones!!! Please help

Have not gotten an email from this thread in a while. But if you follow this guide it will get you started and will just have to dial the tune in for your car you will be good till you add more power adders.
