Beware of James Rakes Tunes...
I don't post much here, but I had a new customer bring me his 2009 SS/TC tonight to retune his car that was tuned by James. I was told he had put this tune on a while back (keep in mind this car only has 7K miles on it), and that he has been having driveability issues. I pulled the file and was dumbfounded by what I found. There were so many DTCs disabled (including misfire DTCS) and the DAL and WG tables are nothing short of a good comedy. I would not normally bash another tuner's file, but if people are paying for this crap, people need to know what they are really getting. I am sure some of his nutswingers will jump on here and talk ****, but I really don't care.... Buyer Beware....

I don't know the guy personally, but when I have a customer call me up and say they have been tuned by a "reputable/known" tuner, and I pull this out of a car, people need to know. If I would have put this crap on a customer's car, I would be ashamed.....

I had a tune by James for Almost a year and 40k miles no issues whatsoever. It was took to the track numerous times and as far as I know still going. This probably is a base tune but y'all can bash all you want he is the only one that will touch my cars. Not a nut swinger but if I called or emailed him at 1 am he was there. And stayed in Alabama a extra day to work on my car half a day so I'd be ready for a track day.
