Beware of James Rakes Tunes...

so nhanson has blown his motor after 5 days on e85. It must be the crummy weak LAP motors right?
No possibility the tune had anything to do with this?
Shake your head and walk away. Amazing people have money to spend on the trash talking trash tuner.
I notice that TTR and TeamSS are remarkably silent on this thread; considering the "expertise", according to TTR that was contributed by this tuner to the design parameters of the TTR aftermarket manifold for the LNF.

Nope I started tuning lnfs about a year before he started. In fact when he first started I helped him. He was street tuning one of his first LNFs and he was running it at 0.84 lambda and 18* of timing up top. I told him to lean it out to 0.88 lambda and pull back timing to 15*. He thought I was trying to bust his ***** at first then he tried what I said on the dyno with that car and you know what the car gained 15 whp when he did what I suggested.

Well the things Ive seen say otherwise. Im not posting because its not my stuff to post.
There is no argument because of the fact he cant explain his own tunes or what you guys are posting.
If was able to come on here and defend these things it would be a different story.
Oh and nice band wagon guys.

Even if this was at all true (which I know proof positive is not), I would GLADLY recommend Nick (BYT) any day over James in a heartbeat. So either way, it's still hands down a better tune regardless.

I know for a fact what Term is saying is correct. They technically both learned of each other. They bounced ideas of each other. And I remember nick saying good and positive things about Term.

I have been around powdered metal rods for thirty years. I have hydrauliced engines and bent rods. I have over reved and broken rods. I know that there is not enough rod angle to bend a rod in a modern engine.
Do you really understand the amount of direct force it would take to bend a rod? Most engines that drop a valve, still never bend a rod. Even when the valve has gone through the top of the piston.
