I don't understand how much more proof people need? I'm sure their are plenty of people who are happy with their RPT tunes. At one point I was a satisfied customer. There was only one point that I became unsatisfied and that was when my tune was pulled and showed that it was VERY aggressive. In this instance I would say it's my fault for asking for more, but I NEVER once asked for "more and more" as James liked to say I did. When we were "refining my tune" I thought we were doing exactly that. But then I found out that more timing was being added every revision. I didn't ask for it, and I have emails to prove it. What's done is done, but people need to pull their heads out of their asses.

BTW when someone buys a used car with 20k miles, it doesn't mean it's already beat to ****. James likes to go back to the fact that my car was used so it probably had prior damage. I'm sorry but I bought it from a older man with very slight mods. Don't think he was beating the **** out of it...lol

Im sorry but this is stupid, you clearly stated you asked for more but u didnt ask for more and more? what the hell does that even mean? You asked for more power and unless you have no understanding on how cars work you should know that to make more power on an already aggressive dialed in tune ur gonna have to go more aggressive. You clearly got what u asked for but want to fault someone else for ur own mistake.

Lol vander go home. You cry a river about him not being able to defend himself, and that the RPT guys aren't jumping over other people's tunes, when that is EXACTLY what you guys are doing in your little cult. Stop being such a blatant liar and go pout somewhere else.

Yes me getting removed from a group I didn't even care to be in, and was only reading because you were running your mouths about good friends of mine is exactly why I feel this thread needs to be here.

Your argument is so invalid.

i've been trying to keep up with this thread and it's such a good read.

now i don't know much about tuning other than what i've read on here but when james started doing his "tunes" for cheap i wonder how many people actually asked him why he charges what he does compared to other tuners and what his answers were. honestly i'm one of those guys who doesn't jump right into making a decision especially when there's differences in price, i need to do my research.

also for me to not know much about tuning i shouldn't be able to look at the screen shots posted and see that something doesn't look right, i may not know exactly what every value is or what it should be but i think i'd be able to see something doesn't look right and question it, and possibly ask other parties if need be.

My opinion that just like any service people should know when an experience was ****? Again OTTP gets haters, and you don't need a bunch of trolls trying to get **** locked just because they aren't happy with what people are saying.

James provides a service, and when people aren't happy, people should know about it.

Kind of the point of forums. So yes I can also see how that's invalid.

Kdub clearly states he wanted more from his tune once he was done on his last safest revision. Then upon getting his next tune after that safest revision James went ahead and made it a tad more agressive. After that tune he did the samething over and over again until he got to a certain point. He continued to mod his tune until it wasn't steady or safe at all and his motor blew.

He only wanted a tad more aggressive tune compared to what his safest and latest tune he had. He didn't want the tune to have timing continued to added to it everytime or have any other tables changed completely after each revision. How is this not clear and understandable?

If you can't understand what he said, you honestly must not know how any of this works? If you want me to explain more for your small brain to understand I definitely will.

BaltB, don't waste your time on Vander Nars. He's a troll. He's seriously the village idiot right now with his mindset that James is legit.

Where did I state that I asked for more? James was remote tuning me and when I asked what all the revisions were for I was told MAF correction and things along that line. Never once did I say, "hey james throw more and more timing at it and give me as much power as possible". When we talked about my tune, it was clearly stated that I wanted something on the conservative side even though I was on e47.

The only point that I came out about my story is when I seen James trying to blame my motor blowing on me. And I am perfectly aware of how tuning a car works. It was the beginning stages, so to my knowledge it was far from aggressive. I know what I asked for, and it wasn't for my motor to blow while logging for James. If you remember when I created the thread about my new motor build I defended James every step of the way until I learned about my tune.

^Thank you. I was doing one of the revision processes that James does. It was our 8th revision I believe. To my knowledge he was correcting things like MAF and **** like that. Never did I ever email James and say "hey the car is slow, lets add more timing". Vander can believe whatever he wants.

What's funny is that when my motor blew I created a thread on how I was going to build. People started bashing James so I deleted the thread in respect of him. I have respect for James, he has helped me a lot, but it pisses me off seeing him say it was my car, or me or something else blew up the car. At no point have I ever bashed James, never said he doesn't know how to tune or anything like that. I shared my experience, but obviously some others know what happened better then me lol

even if he did want more and more power it doesnt matter!!!!!! JAMES as a "credible" tuner should know the damn limits and tell so and so that "ok, your maxed out with this set up and i dont feel comfortable doing so"...................but obviously that is too mature and professional for james to do huh?

You mean until it was time you to be a adult and accept the fact that u asked for a aggressive tune, you already admitted a few post up that u asked for more and thats ur fault so why the blame game now?

So one post ur bashing James saying he dont know anything about tuning and now ur saying he is a credible tuner that should have known the limits of the setup, how about this bandwagoner u decide what u believe and then come back and we will debate that.

IT IS NOT HIS FAULT! james should know the damn limits and where to stop before its too much for the car to handle! what dont you understand about that concept? maybe if you take his **** out of your mouth for a moment, you would understand that he is responsible for making the decisions that would in fact blow the engine!

Please show me where I stated that I asked for more? I was told by James that my tune was not complete and told to log again. So I logged and sent it to him. The last file I was logging for him and it blew. He told me that he could raise timing and boost and my reply back was "no need to raise boost or timing, don't want to stress trans or clutch"...doesn't seem like me asking for more

After my reply he sent me a tune, he said the MAF needed a little correction and it would be good to go. I was logging and it blew. Case closed. You have no idea what was going on, you are simply trying to start ****.

Lol. Thank you for truly admitting you're thee most ignorant person on this forum. You really had nothing better to say than what James himself would say.
