Has for who can tune remotely....why hasnt anyone mentioned Terminator2? Im currently getting tuned my him via email. Sucks but i hope to see the light by the end of the week.

Also i just found out on hptuners.com there is a how to tune LNF with vidoes. I wish i would have caught that before I paid for a tune
Which site is PM on? If on JBO, it probably got erased with the server crash.. I lost all my PM's on there...

Could you please send a link to the LNF videos? I have a lot of BYT's write ups and others off of there but it doesn't hurt to have more.

Just go to the hptuners forum and look it up on the 4 cylinders engine tuning. Its been at the top ever since its been created. Many people enjoy the videos.

I've seen a lot of tunes and the worst was from a supporting vendor. Mdubs was always good and BYT wasn't bad, i would never let him work on my car again though...

Term generally tries to stay out of these frays. He posted here in this thread, but for the most part he doesn't get into the arguing. Can't blame him. For what it's worth I've been on his tune for a lot of racing miles and really like his work.

Good to hear. And just for the record i meant sucks because I have no interent so im doing all the file transfer from my phone to my laptop....he seems good so far. Always replying back. For now I have compared his 1st base tune and the current 2nd tune which i am on now and small changes for now....but im okay with that since i dont want my motor to blow.

i dont know why you even quoted me as it was directed for lnfs. you have a 2.2 and stock them things are weak. ive never seen your tune so i cant say anything in regards to your stuff..

now lets get something straight NO motor is bullet proof and i NEVER said you cannot blow up with too much power. its perfectly possible. but like i said 26 degrees of timing on a stock turbo lnf? our big turbo lnfs dont even have that much timing thrown at them. had an lsj recenetly. stock car for the most part with some bolt ons but no meth or anything. just e85. car spun 2 rod bearings. pretty rare if an ecotec spins 1 let alone 2. go into the tune and the fuel trims are turned off. needless to say the dilution of oil over a short period of time killed the engine but "it felt fast."

people can blame mechanical failure all they want but ive seen enough to know **** tunes are 85% of lnfs blowing up. yes a pure mechanical failure is possible but not when other signs to what caused a lot of detonation is present. they can take abuse and my cars proven it along with quite a few other out there. when i find signs of a lot of detonation in a cars engine do i look further into it? sure do because a stock car/well tuned/well maintained car doesnt show mass signs of detonation. i have another lnf in the shop right now down on compression in number 1. car broke the timing chain tensioner BUT i guarentee thats not what caused all of pretty silver oil being in the bottom of the pan as the rod bearings would be expering shortly or the ringland would be going ot something around that line. cant wait to tear this one down... bet i find signs of detonation.

like i said no motors bullet proof but when i keep seeing lnfs blow up at 330-350whp its a little rediculous because other then fluke getting a bad oem motor, the lnf can take that kind of power all day long.

I am interested as well. I have pulled a lot of tunes and seen a lot of tunes. I have seen some bad tunes like one James did with 10* of timing at 2500 rpms and 14* by 4500 rpms and wide open throttle on a LNF. You want worn rod bearings, cracked ring lands that kind of timing on 93 will get you that.

I guess one of the mods edited it. No biggie though almost everyone that has anything to do with a LNF knows I tune. Best advertising is word of mouth.

terms good, we are good, theres some others too. depends if you wanna come out to us to tune. for a big turbo car I feel its the best route over a remote tune.
