Yeah he has done tons of cobalts in the past, if I am correct he owns a built cavy and a cobalt ss. My buddy has a TC cobalt tuned by him and it seems very stable.

HP Tuners let me know I was indeed going over 100%, Have 60s and a 2.8 in there now. IDCs are much much better!

I ended up going to self tuning route, like to be able to make adjustments myself as needed. HP Tuners is great!

Heres a snapshot of my new setup during a quick pull.

Only 7000 rpms? Don't need big injectors for that, would have be perfectly fine on the 42's and a 2.8.

Your car is breathing well though, the exhaust must be helping out nicely. 16psi on a 2.8 is a good thing.

What's the fun in that? Turn that sucker up to 7400, helps with the long 1-2 shift at least.

On stock head and cams I am sure power is dropping off over 7000, I rarely go from a stop (**** tires) so mostly 2nd gear pulls anyways.

If i ever WOT in 1st tires spin and it hits the rev limiter, going to put some good summer tires on the front when the weather permits though

You need to ease into 1st.... It's very short and easy to bounce the limiter.

Ever watch you tube videos of kiddies showing off in these cars? You always hear them bouncing off the limiter and bogging when they hit 2nd.

Good tires will help traction though for sure.

Yeah for sure, barely even get PE on 1st gear pulls because of easing into it, I may mess around with boost limiting as well and see how that goes.

I used to run 40% boost in 1st until 6500, let it pick up a decent amount of speed before blowing through the limiter completely. On my setup with sticky tires, two hits against the limiter was just about perfect to be an full ground speed for a good 1-2 shift without bogging.

When I ran the nittos, I didn't need the limit, so I just kept a little hose in the car to cap off the solenoid for serious launches. Car felt dead with boost limited and real tires from a dig.
