HPtuners-PRO or Standard

i have the standard version. i didn't have the money at the time to get the pro.

i just have to hide the laptop when i go to the track so they don't say anything about it

What track gives you **** about your laptop? HPT has never said anything. I like Pro because you can tap your wideband in direct.

How hard is tuning? I take it you have a bunch of car-know-how. And I say go Pro. Forget standard. Get all the options!

Right now I am useing the standerd. If you have the money get the pro. But both do the same things, but the pro has the abliaty for logging with out a laptop, and outputs to log up to four other gauges such as a wideband.

Gotta start somewhere right?

I never tuned a computer in my life until I purchased hptuners 3 some odd years ago & haven't looked back. If you have a willingness to learn you'll succeed.

if you can understand how a motor works, and what does what inside hpt, and how it will affect the motor. you will be fine.

basically a good grasp of the internal combustion engine.

I wouldn't really call it simple if you've never tuned before. It takes some time to get comfotable with everything that HPTuners can do. It's like learning anything, really. You're not going to get HPT and dive right into getting your car dialed in. You're going to start taking small steps, read the forums and help files, ask some questions and learn more and more untill you can take bigger steps.

You can gain a lot no matter what your mods. Even stock, you will gain horsepower, gas mileage, etc. Even with the few mods that I have, I have gotten much better power (as gauged by butt dyno), better mileage and much smoother power. The driveability has improved too.
