Tuning Help

Hey guys, so I was looking around and I found a guy somewhat local to me offering HPTuners for a variety of GM vehicles for 150$ for 1st tune and 50$ for each after. Ive heard of stories of bad things happening when you find prices that low. He has a variety of photos of the cars hes tuned before, including corvettes, camaros and even a SS/SC. Is this something i should jump on? or what im assuming is he just flashes a premade tune onto the car and sends me on my way? Thanks

Buy hptuners and contact Area47, although honestly idk if he does remote tunes. If he doesnt there are some others Term, and John (CobaltSS09 or something like that) come to mind

I hate that when they give "Zac" a bad name since thats my name lol

GL with finding someone. I can attest to the ZZP canned tune being off since that is what I have been cleaning up. Its ok for what it is but can be alot better for sure.

The program is only as good as the person punching the keys.

I wouldnt say to run away specifically because of the price. Unless it is zach, then definitely run away. Ive offered to tune some locals for just a bit more than that, but it wouldve been an easy job for what they wanted. I dont care to make my investment back on the software. I felt like i did by tuning my car alone.

Theres a few guys on here that are comfortable with remote tuning and do a good job from what ive heard.

There are a couple guys in the Tampa area that specializes Vettes, Maros and G8's. Though they have a list of cars they can/could HP tune. After hearing stories how they handle other rides beside the 3 above, I decided to not chance it. I'd love to have a tune from the legends here but I only have a base 2.2l.

I do not do remote tunes anymore. I can however find someone who is competent to do the tune in cali if needed.

If you can, that would be nice. However, i will be getting out of the Marine Corps this October and will be going back home to New York then North Carolina after. If you know any people in those areas. That would be fantastic

nope, getting out of the USMC. Not my cup of tea, 4 and out. But looking around Raleigh / Durham area. Looks like a nice area and seems to be pretty good for IT.
