weird throttle issue

The car would run fine for a couple full throttle pulls and then all of a sudden just loose power around 5k... completely random.

Looking at the hp tuner log when that happens... the pedal would be 100% but throttle would only be around 35 - 40%.

History:
I've been tuning the car with the basic tables as per all the tuning guides online, using dal, malt, wast gate tables. The car ran fine all last year with no problems.

only thing we did recently was installed an oil pressure gauge using the original oil temp/pressure sensor threaded hole and left the original sensor harness plugged in and secured it out of the way.

So now it's obviously reading false... Would that cause some kind of limp mode?
there's a high temp rpm limit table but nothing for low temp or low pressure?

Thanks in advance Riaan

Edit: the car is a 08SSTC

All other logs look normal? It's usually an airflow issue on an LNF, some sort of MAP fault, boost leak, wastegate problem, etc that causes limp mode/reduced power.

Still trying to make sense of the new 3.0 it's a steep learning curve all over for me, And my tuning skill is pretty basic. not really sure what els to look for?
Got the throttle, knock and boost reading now. That's how I noticed the throttle error...

I did take the boost tube of for the install and it's quite possible that the lower tube may not be on all the way... I check all that again tonight.

Now I can focus on boost related issues. Thanks for the reply.

Ok
We checked all the clamps (one was not very tight) , cleaned the map sensor connectors and re flashed the car with the same tune.

it ran strong for all WOT pulls last night... 21-22 PSI with 19-20 at red line. Holding power nicely on all the runs.

BUT now looking at the logs it's only reading 85% pedal and 83% throttle?
It was a 100% before but now 85%?
I read a couple posts about the 85% being normal and it's just HP Tuners reading it wrong... but why is it reading different same tune?

Any ideas?

Thanks

HPT does that, if it's pulling full power it's not holding the throttle half closed, not really worth worrying about.

Update
ok
The car went into full limp mode over the weekend... Wouldn't boost over 5psi and finally pulled a code P0238, still no light though. Is that normal to have a code but no light?
P0238 is the bottom map sensor or boost leak yes?

So we build a quick boost leak test jig (found a cool thread on here 😉 ) and put 25psi into it.
Bottom map sensor seal was leaking and one clamp needed to be tightened more. Fixed all that.
Also air was leaking out of the upper map sensor, not the seal. Seems like the sensor itself is cracked.

Cleared the codes and reload the tune. No luck still in limp mode.

Figured might as well upgrade both sensors to the 3bar bosh sensors. Ordered the sensors from a local GM dealer. Should be here today.
Connectors is stupid expensive! Still looking into that.
All I need now is the connectors or pigtails and a the tune file.
anyone have a link for cheap pigtails?

An what values do I have to change in the file for the new sensors?

Riaan

Sorry for the late update.
Replaced with new 3bar sensors from ZZP and map calibration from one of the HT Tuner repository files.
Went to our local track (road coarse) already on a fresh set of R7's!
She's fine now, problem solved.
