^^That would be nice.
Anyone know if they're going to accomodate side curtains?
Or are we just SOL with them? I'd hate to see what happens when they go off inside a pillar with nowhere to go, lol

Are they going to come in 2 and 3 pods and does anyone know if they will be recessed like the stock pillar.

You can call autometer directly, thats how I got my part numbers and the info. Didn't ask about color though. They are very friendly call em up. Thanks.

I don't think I've ever seen a recessed autometer pillar, they will probably look just like all the other ones. But if you get a little creative and are good with molding, you can cut out the pods, and reversed them in the pillar to give it that recessed look. I'm sure it's way more work then it's worth though.

they come in 2 and 3 pods.

There's a thread somewhere about this. The air bags are above the doors, not in the actual pillar. People have already taken them out to inspect and made some fiberglass pods. There's also a picture of a wrecked cobalt, and the interior shot show the pillar only moved 1/2 inch at the very top just to let the airbag deploy. I see it being safe.

Yeah I saw that when you posted the link. I've never pulled mine apart, but assumed the bags came through the circular covers at the top of the A and C pillars. SO you're saying they don't come through those holes, but rather between the headliner and pillar?

I mean these pods are a total replacement pillar aren't they?

just found these real fast. It doesn't seem to be an issue at all. Those holes are just covers for the pillar screw, and just say Airbag on them to let you know it's equipped with that feature. I haven't tried it yet so I can't gaurentee it, but you might want to PM the members posting the how to in the threads I listed. didn't say whether they had side airbags or not. But i'm %95 sure it's no problem.

^^Yeah thanks man, I actually found those right after you made that post, lol.

Good to know the bag isn't actually in there. Now I can hardwire my radar detector without worrying about getting a face full of airbag, lol

I already know the prices and part numbers. I was asking Aaron if he could get them yet. The part number has been released for over a month now but that doesn't help anything if they aren't available yet.

I know they are available, don't know if it's available through TTR yet though. I went to my local PAW and they have it for about $50-$60 bucks.

Autometer said they would be shipping the middle of July. We will have the dual pod for 64.99 and the tripple for 69.99. We might also run a special price on autometer gauges at the same time.

We have not saw any of these here, we currently don't have any pictures, we will all have to wait until they are actually shipping. Only thing they told us was prices and the estimated shipping date of 2 weeks.
