WTF? Am I always the last one to get my parts? I'm only in Charleston, SC! I just checked, and mine made it to Charlotte, NC so it will be here tomorrow! Yeah!

EDIT: I found out you have to remove the washers... The pics show the washers installed which are wrong...I've updated the dampner since.

BTW YOU WANT IT INSTALLED ON THE BRACKETS IN THIS SEQUENCE!!!!

bolt head> rod end>rubber o ring >bracket>nut

if you have it out of sequence you get metallic sounds and potentially harm the damper internals or brackets..

Got mine and installed in 10 minutes... EASY install.

Before I bolted the ETD to the brackets I adjusted mine to 10mm the hardest setting. Took it for a drive and ZERO WHEEL HOP!!!!!! The stiffest setting doesn't cause any harsh vibrations and the car shifts firm and all I hear is wheel SPIN!!!! No more wheel hop. YIPPI

First gear is useless now..lol

THANKS ENGALS!!!!

Took some pictures....

Ok so was showing a buddy it and dumped it and i got terrible wheel hop. Checked under the hood today and the mount tabs where the damper mounts are bent. I installed it so no force was required to slide the damper on the bolts because the damper was too long when I got it out of the box so I moved the heim joint adjustment in closer....Now I cant find any of my directions or anything. I just now undid the tensioner jam nut and slid the tensioner assembly nut out about 2 turns and rejammed it...did I adjust it right? Why is my brackets bent already? I dont want to have to keep readjusting it...

Any thoughts?

Dan

So is this the one way road to eliminating wheel hop? Sorry but with all the posts about this I find it hard to believe that you guys actually found a way to stop this..

According to the directions you can put the bolt and nut either way. The only thing that can't be changed is now the washer and o-ring go on.

I just opened my box and these are some hefty brackets. Not sure how they would bend.

it might fit considering it is the same motor mount for 05+ redlines.. gotta make sure first

I've had busted motor mounts in my neon before and I know what they feel like. my mounts feel the same as the day I bought the car. Also I checked all of them and there is no ripped material or leaking from any of the hydrauic mounts. From what I see all my mounts are fine.

I just got mine and I must say I an NOT very impressed with the finished quality of this piece. It has gouges and scrapes all over it and the edges are all knicked up. It really doesn't look like something I just paid a couple hundred dollars for!

Intalled the mount and the marked side of the brackets is on the inside so I am not worried about it. This thing works AWESOME. I notice a very very slight vibration in low RPM's but it isn't bad at all. I had full solid mounts in my Neon and it was terrible for the vibrations. Truth is though, This works as well as the solid mounts I used to have!!

BTW, I opened the box a half hour ago and in that time I looked over the part, installed it and took it for a test drive. Shows how easy the install is.

So Rob, should we be using the washers that came with the kit or not?
