Review
What an amazing product! Fedex arrived just as I was getting in my car to leave for work on Friday. So, I just placed the box in my car without looking at it. The whole day at work I couldn't wait to leave so that I could install it and test it out. Needless to say, I never made it home before installing it. I had to stop by my brothers house to get my tools for racing. While we were loading up my trunk he asked me about "the box." I told him what it was, and thinking on my feet, and asked if he wanted to help me install it. He did. After that we placed all of my tools in the trunk and went for a cruise. Even with 2 toolboxs and 2 tool bags in the trunk I was still testing the limits in the canyons. Never have I felt so much confidence is how my car corners (until Sunday, which I'll explain in a bit). The back end didn't seem to float or want to pull out to a side. Awesome!
Because of the install happening at about midnight in a dark driveway I never took pics. I will get that done tomorrow. The other reason why it has taken so long to post this is that I headed out to Denver for racing on Saturday. On my drive I came across shredded tire debris scattered all over the freeway in Evanston, Wyoming. Immediately responding to this I was throwing the car left and right at 80mph without feeling the need to use the brakes. It was amazing. There wasn't even a chirp from the tires. The car was loaded down too. I had bags of clothes, all of my tools, a bag of miscellaneous stuff for the track, drag racing slicks, and a passenger. The car just felt right at home with a more neutral steering feel even though it was loaded. I was very happy to have had the bar installed.
On the way home today, headed in the opposite direction on the same stretch of freeway in the same town, I came across the same situation in the same town and didn't even worry about turning off cruise control. The car just went through the maze without any complaining or resistance. However, due to something that happened at the track and the need to make some adjustments with my suspension at the track so that my car would work with the slicks I bought several months ago, a few friends and I installed some BWoody traction bars (including the drilling needed through the A arms) as quickly as possible. This really tightened up the steering feel. This definitely allows the car to bite more into a harder corner at fast speeds (i.e., 80mph). The sway bar definitely kept the back end in track and forced it to follow the direction the front tires were turned to. I'm extremely happy. This product worked great, even under a heavy load.
I'll post pics tomorrow night. I have the bar in red, so it will be very easy to see.
