OK the more I think about this, I believe you are right. What I was quoting and have been told by "my buddies" applies simply to turbos and V8s where the exhaust velocity is restricted by everything after the exhaust valves.

Edit: yeah, you are right and I was wrong. Heres a good explanation: http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/te...ems/index.html

The picture on the product page is the actual picture of the exhaust from Vibrant.

I have had this exhaust on my car for a few weeks now and the sound is far better than the corsa touring I had but as for dyno numbers dont have any of those.

I'm glad you like it, but sound is an opinion. Horsepower gains are FACTS. People would rather have the facts over the opinions. Just a thought.

Now, when you say sound is better, what exactly do you mean?

I personally, want as quiet an exhaust as possible, with the most possible gains.

Which is why the Corsa Touring seems like the best option, because it seems that it gives good gains, is well made, and is pretty much quiet except when you punch it.

Also, wouldnt 3" piping make the car bog down in low gear even worse than it already does?

Quiet this exhaust is not. You want quiet dont by this one. Yes you will loose a little low end tourqe but you will have high gains further up the RPM band. I did pick up a little better time switching to this from the corsa.

Cool! What were your before and after times with this? Don't really worry about e.t., the trap speed reflects horsepower. What did your car consistantly trap with corsa, and what does it consistantly trap now with the Vibrant?

The 12.98 was with the corsa. I got a 12.91 with this but like I said you loose some of your low end so the short times are not much different.

You ought to update your sig then, you're getting close to Rob's time! Yea, I know short times will be the same, I'm just curious if the trap went up in the 1/4 mile.
