Hello Billy Baldone,

Seeing as the stock shift knob is not threaded, you cannot use the OEM shift knob on the TWM Performance short shifter. That's why we include a free Aluminum shift knob with the kit

Thanks,

Patrick

So I can't replace my stock shift knob? I'm not talking about the short throw shifter you sell, with my stock knob(hee hee that's the third time today I typed"knob")on it. Ahh nevermind I'll just wait and get a short throw.Hey with all the people who bought shift boots in the other vendor thread, there are going to be alot of people taking their center console apart,I think it would look even better with a TWM short throw shifter bought in a different group buy(wink wink nudge nudge)

Th stock Cobalt shifter shaft is not threaded and the OEM shift knob is also not threaded. Therefore if you change the shift knob, and keep the stock shifter, our shift knob will not fit due to the fact that the stock shifter shaft is not threaded.

Thanks,

Patrick

Looks as though i'm too late again. Keep me informed for any up comming sales. Seems as though it would make a huge difference in daily driving... more importantly at the strip!

Just installed this, So much better then the hurst shifter i had in it, Was always fishing for 5th in it, and never felt right.

This is a much better product and with the weighted shift knob the throws feel so much more direct (If that makes any sense).

They will pretty much achieve the same kind of results in the Cobalt as the MS3, it's a great upgrade for the price!

the ms3 had a little more slop, but yes I'm looking for that more direct, mechanical feel so I know exactly where I'm shifting
