Yep TWM is the way to go if you got the extra cash laying around.

I wish I would of saved the extra $150-200 and opted for the TWM instead of the Hurst. My Hurst is nice, but honestly, all it added was looks. My shifts still feel 99% the same. As well as the height is 99% stock.

I saw on TWM site that the Big Type R knob will not work with the pull up reverse lock....i guess its not true since you pretty much did it huh? does anything look out of place

the twm is expenisiveeee but sooooo worth it. i went from the stock to the hurst. my brother got me a good deal from one of the guys he works with so i was like sick. so i put it in and wasnt happy with it really. i had to adjust the crap out of it to get it to shift right and the shifts just.. didnt feel good really. idk. and then after about a week the set screw came loose while i was drivin and thank god i had the tools in my car still. i had to sit on the side of the rode and fix the shifter. my shifter was wobbling everywhere haha. so i told my brother that he should give it back and ill get a twm. and the twm was just wow. compared to the hurst. the shifter itself is SOLID! not pieces you assemble. the instructions were 300x easier than the hurst ones. and once i was done i didnt have to adjust at all or anything. it was just way better. if you want your car to be quality. buy quality parts. twm is quality. hurst is a good name but they dropped the ball on this part. hope this helps people..

O! and i havent even got the weighed shift knob yet. i had barely enough money to get the sts from twm so i did it and figured eh wat the hell ill get the free knob with the 16 dollar engraving or whatever for now and get the weighed knob later. i havent got a chance to yet but man do i know how much a weighed knob helps. it makes shifts effortless. perfect. beautiful.

The Big Type R is the only one that does work with the lockout, the regular type r won't. There are a few others, i'd suggest calling to place an order, that way they can verify which knobs work, and which don't.

I had to drive my friend home the other night cause he got a little too trashed and his stock shifter was soooo freaking weird. I had forgotten how much different they were until then.
