I have two, but they're both in limp mode, so to speak. One LSD, one open; both 4.05 FD.

The LSD transmission had metal shavings in the last oil drain (the LSD is a sealed unit, so no worries) and the Open has a bad second gear synchro blocker ring. If you don't mind some internal work, you could move the LSD and the synchro over and have a complete 19k mile transmission.

Mississippi is a bit of a haul, but if you wanted to pick them up, I'd give you both for $495.

I now live in Corpus Christi Texas, just haven't changed location on here. is there a shop here in texas that can make that switch? it has been a long time since I have worked on one of these transmissions. really I only need the case and Lad out the one. my case is leaking since my son blew the clutch up. gears are all fine.

Corpus is still a drive, but wouldn't be a bad deal. USMC is a good guy.

I mean, DF's are made in Red Oak, which is just a stones throw south of Dallas. I know they install LSD's into transmissions that they sell - not sure if they'd operate on a random couple transmissions for you. That'd be the only place that I know I'd trust with it - these F35's have a handful of "must be replaced" hardware (there's a crush washer that's essential) and I'd bet most "random" places won't know that since it's not all that common.

I will also throw out a place. I am not sure if they do it, but the welded up a crack in a TH400. They are a huge shop in Fort Worth. Might be worth a call. There is also a few performance transmission shops in Kennedale.

Peak torque is the problem, especially quick hitting, small turbo torque in the lower RPM range.

Judging by the subject of your post: "F35 dropped 5th gear" ...you really shouldn't roll full boost in fifth gear.
