Looking for used tranny in good condition
As the title states, I'm looking for a used tranny for my 09 lnf. I believe the lsj trannies will also work too right? Anyways, I'll be completely honest and just say that I'm too lazy to be chasing down people if they still have their tranny for sale or not so hopefully someone can just read this and pm me. Lol show me what u guys got. I would need it to be shipped to 93726. Give me a reasonable price and I will buy! Thanks.

Honestly, I can care less. I won't be in any autox or anything like that so I doubt it would really make a difference anyways. If its an lnf tranny then Idc about LSD because I could probably just take out the LSD in my tranny and put that in. Wait, would I be able to put my lnf LSD unit into a lsj tranny too?

Because I troll the forums all day since my job is not a challenge to me anymore. Plus I usually have the knowledge to answer in a helpful way.
You can use an LSJ trans, but it has to come from a cobalt. A Saturn ion one will not work.
You can swap your LSD in, but you are going to need a dealership or someone here that has the knowledge or tools to do it; it's not easy.
If you end up with a good LSD sell that sucker here. You should be able to recoup some good money from it.
Contact Performance Autowerks in Chicago about rebuilds, swap, or even getting a new trans. Very helpful to the member here.

Anyways, how much does a LSD unit go for on here? I might as well just buy a non-LSD lsj tranny n try to throw in my LSD n 4.45 gear set if they're both undamaged. Will it be compatible with my lnf parts? I've heard that the lnf can use the lsj tranny but will it be compatible with my gear set and LSD?

With tax time coming and the want for them, I could see more than a few hundred for it. Yes, you can put the LNF LSD into the LSJ trans. You can use any gearset and dif combo in any case regardless of the year. From John Powell himself:

The quaifes are the same all years. The gears and bearings are the same all years, F35. Only the case changed, 2004 Redline to all other years.

Considering they are about $300 to freight, that price is not too terrible honestly. It makes the trans about $800.00 and I sell non-LSD f35 selling on Facebook for 5-600 all the time...
