that's not the plate between the block and trans.............that's the upper transmission mount, part of it at least. lol.

 

Yeah it's the mount on the trans that the engine mount attaches to. They use a different one for different transmissions to attach to the same frame mount.

I'm surprised OP had one break, I can't really see how that happened unless it was installed wrong or not flat. It's just a big cast aluminum chunk with 3 smooth holes and 3 threaded holes, not much that can hurt it.

I haven't seen any break but I had to replace mine because the threads in it for the trans mount were stripped and messed up.

lol, but yea, its still a cheap 20-30 part I think. I forget how much I paid.
