WTB Parking Brake Adjuster/Cable
Good morning guys. Just recently, my failing parking brake finally caught up to me. My car took off down the driveway and ended up in the ditch, causing around $6k in damage. So I guess it's time I start looking into fixing the damn thing. So basically, the adjuster nut is stripped out on the adjustment rod and I cant seem to get the nut to back off. I've found complete lever assemblies and cables online, but what I actually need is the adjustment rod/short cable that splits into the two cables. So if I can cut the short cable I can pull the adjustment rod out and replace just that. Is there any chance anyone has one?

Well it might be more than the cable you need to replace. For example your rear calipers. They might work when stopping but the parking brake portion of the caliper might not properly and that might be the reason you have to be adjusting the cable. Had that happen to me lucky for me my car didnt hit anything

Well, I thought it might be the rear calipers, but the eccentrics turn when pulling the lever. The passenger side actually grabs a little bit but the driver side doesn't. And the eccentrics actually reflect just that. And I figure I might as well start at the simplest/cheapest place first. I am certain that the adjuster is stripped because it's not moving at all when you turn the nut. So I wanna start there.

Excellent. My cables are pulling pretty evenly, but my car is opposite yours. My driver side doesn't grab, but the passenger side does. I'm gonna look into a new caliper, but that doesn't change the fact that my adjuster is stripped out. I really don't want to have to buy a whole new lever assembly...

Yeah look at rockauto maybe you can find just the part there? Because with the new caliper i had to re adjust the parking brake. Before the caliper was replaced my parking brake would do like 10 clicks, now that its replaced it only clicks like 4 times to completely engage
