Well I am sorry that you think the way you do, which is to be expected of a Mustang fan.
The numbers for the 03-04 Cobra are the biggest hype fest ever. The average times are not mid to high 12's more like very low 13's. You cannot make an average figure using numbers only from a Mustang forum in which people beat there cars to achieve.
As for LS1 F-Bodies and GTO's they are mid to high 13 second cars on average accross the board. When figuring only perfect runs I would call them low 13 second cars.
All in all I know from first hand experience what all these cars can do.
If the Cobras were that fast C6 Vettes wouldn't walk them like a puppy.

People beat there cars to achive? You can be a ***** with the car and expect to run good times.
C6s walk them from a high speed roll and that is do to being light and aerodynamic. Thats like a pickup truck racing a semi-truck. From a dig its another story the Cobra will beat the LS2 but the LS3 on the other hand should take the win.

Guys at track for the first time might be low 13s and those people improve also but if you put any skilled driver in one a 12sec pass is nothing hard to obtain.

Sure, the average run is not high 12's, but the average "personal best" probably is, and that's what people usually go by. Otherwise, if we averaged ALL the runs together, the SS/SC would easily be a HIGH 14-second car.
Generally, you'd say the SS/SC is a "mid-14 second car" because the average of personal bests is right around that area.

My friend went 12.9 in his bone stock Cobra either the first or second time he'd EVER been to a track.

This may be a Cobalt foum, but people discuss Mustangs and ask questions about them, if you haven't noticed.

I’ve been here a year longer than you, I just hang in the War Stories section to get a good laugh every once and awhile and to clear up misinformation about Mustang and non-Mustang topics.

Not saying it didn’t or couldn’t happen but it is HIGHLY unlikely against a 03-04. Kind of a 1 in a Million shot really.

Sorry but a LS2 C6 will walk a Cobra 2003-2008 from a dig or roll, from a roll it is just a easier and larger gap victory.

Didn't Evan Smith pilot a stock SVT Cobra to a 12.5 or something like that?
Lastly, you'd be lucky to beat a 1999 Mustang if both cars are stock. Modded, anything can happen.
Stock for stock, you wouldn't beat:
1996, 1997, 1998 SVT Cobra (305 HP), 1999, 2001 SVT Cobra (320 HP), or a 2003, 2004 SVT Cobra (390 HP).
Or:
2003/2004 Mach I, 2005+ Mustang GT
Close race for the Cobalt:
1999 - 2004 Mustang GT.

Don't even group the LS1 f-bodies in with GTslOw's. My 02 went 13.6@106 bone STOCK with shitty 3.23's. No LS1 gto will even come close to matching that.

Yeah, an LS1 F-body is more comparable to an LS2 GTO.

Thats some pretty wishfull thinking there, the C6 would walk the Cobra from a dig even on the stock runflats!
A LS2 GTO stays with a 03-04 for a few gears and a LS2 C6 will walk a GTO.
Just face it the C6 is faster.
Sorry I didn't mean to mention the LS1 GTO with the LS1 F-Body.

What do you consider walk, 1-2cars? Thats about all a LS2 is going to put on a Cobra with equal drivers.
