Had a little fun today with a friend of mine.. He's completely stock, except taking the top off his air box (+50hp) and a short throw out of a SRT4 (+38hp). I have a supercharged, bad man, too fast to be caught, power thirsty, gas burning, 2 litres of space rocket powered powered cheverolet engineered engine.. Well, he managed to get to the other lane, before I dropped it into no mans land, aka 3rd razzle gear, well I tell you what, mister.. that little Neon was pushing as hard as that high output, 150 tire burning horse powered baby would go.. he almost had me.. then I hit the gas. 10 bus lengths later and I shut ol sally down, gave her a rub, said to her, good job ol girl you made ol dad proud. I then went on to the local pub, had a Budweiser, clam strips and fries.. Couldn't ask for a better good friday.

i figured it was either a stratus RT, a viper RT or some other RT variant of that era. Nice to have fun I suppose, like when my house mate tries to have fun with my SC, I usually let him get 10 lengths before killing him

O.P. you might want to re-title your thread to NEON R/T, As they did make a neon R/T which was IIRC just the 2.4 N/A motor but all the SRT look's to it! THink SS/NA In cobalt land..

Oh really? I haven't really been out and around too much. Oh, you know that little turbo SIR? He sold it and got a newer style si. I guess the motor was on the way out.. He only had an ebay turbo on it.. He tried to claim he pushed 290whp.. Lol.

I seen a red SS with a high rise in Windsor today, not sure who drives that?

Oh, I don't know if anyone on here would have any insight, but I have a little clicking noise when I let out the clutch and give it some gas? Only usually does it from a dead start, I don't hear it in any other gear.. Clutch only has about 8000km on it, shop put it in back in October.

he's full of ****... i watched him dyno 190hp two cars before i dyno'd mine.. i heard it was dying.. i still see it driving around town though.. still turbo'd. never seen a red ss highrise in windsor ever.. clutch noise could be chatter? newer clutches do it if they become glazed or don't break in properly? just a thought...

don't worry about the haters lol not everyone lives in a city where racing and sports cars are a dime a dozen.. take what races you can get... lol a win is a win regardless of how easy it was... probably as easy as i took that civic si and noone hated on me for it... just repping the cobalts and opening some eyes to the domestic world..

Yeah, he sounds full of it.. And I think he sold it like, last week. Not sure though. That's just what everyone is telling me.. I don't mind the haters, hell, you read junk on here about smoking cavys haha. It's the net, what can ya do? Haha. I have a couple videos on my phone from last year, I ran my buddies SER spec V and a 74 GTO with a 400 big block. Not much done to it, down at pembrook flats.. I don't have a computer, just a blackberry and I'm unable to upload them on here.. I think.. I'm not very good with the whole computer thing.. Hell, we literally just got access to higgh speed with in the last 3 years down here. Hillbilly delux baby.

Pembrook flat is like, a 1/4 mile flat right before Walton. It's not actually a track or anything, just one long straight away haha. Yeah, everyone likes to troll. Especially on forums. But it's good for a laugh. Next time you're around I'll show you them vids! They aren't anything special.. Due to the fact that they were all filmed with a blackberry and out of car view.. Meaning by the end of the race we look like dots.. Haha.

Well your half correct. The Neon R/T with the 2.4 motor non-turbo was the first gen (1995-1999). However, your SRT look a like claim is wrong since the SRT was second gen (2003-2005.

They did make a second gen SRT-D which had the somewhat look of a real SRT with the hood and high-rise wing but it had the 2.0 motor and smaller wheels.

neon r/t doesn't look like an srt4 at all.. it doesn't have a highrise wing, hood scopp, rims or anything fancy.. just an R/T badge and some small body working.. 150hp N/A is correct.
