Sounds believable to me provided the Cobra was stockish. Good run!

I doubt it was a 96-98 GT, those things are pigs with-out a PI swap. Trust me...I owned one lol.

You basically have I/H/E/Chip... Flywheel, Injectors, MM's, and manifold spacer might help a little, and then the rest isn't going to make you any faster. In fact, the system will obviously make you slower.

W/ a low 14, you're dropping a full second or more off of the 1/4 time of a stock Tib GT.

I'm not saying it's impossible, by any means. Just that I'd be interested in seeing some times for cars with similar mods.

I'm smelling some BS here! A Tibby ain't gonna run a Cobra not unless its got serious modin done to it.

That was either a V-6 car or he started the race in 5th by accident.

Those are pretty similar except for the fact that I trapped at 97MPH with a 2.5 sec 60'....compare that to the 60's that other tib drivers were getting and what times they were hitting

Yup looks like it. But I don't see n2o on his list so to compair the v-6 Tibby spraying with who knows what else mods to a 2.0 Balt with no n2o is apples to oranges.

But its a fast ass Tib no doubt!

Ok thats not hate right? I honestly didn't know you guys could get that fast I wasn't hating when I said what I did. I thought you were some kid wanna be racer with a big wing who beat a V-6 Stang. My bad and thanks for the heads up with you guys! You all are turning some bad assed times in them cars! I almost bought a V-6 Tib a couple years ago but with 2 kids and damn near no back seat I had to pass. Its a shame cause they look smokin and now I know they can haul ass too!

Very cool man! I retract my original post and replace it with GOOD KILL DUDE !!!

dude, no hate at all, i realize there are some douchebags whether on here or even over on the tib boards as well who just need to get bitch slapped like charlie murphy. Ive been on the tib scene for over 4 years now, and everything that you see in my sig, IS done, and I have done myself, with the sole exception of the custom exhaust, simply because I dont have any sort of jig, or anything to bend 2.5" pipe....2" is hard enough lol. Im not a troller on your guys boards, i dont talk ****, and have no reason to spout off with the internet BS. It just gets old that people base all of our acheivements off of stock capabilities. "171 HP, that car blows" yea, it may have under 200 but it makes up for it with great gearing. if you guys had our gearing youd be droppin SRTs like flies

Well, if you're trapping 97, then you've got a pretty quick N/A tib. Dingleweed was trapping ~97, and running ~14.5. So, you might trap a little higher, but spinning usually doesn't hamper your trap speed much. Also, you're gonna have to bring your 60' down a lot to make it happen.

But anyway, good luck running low 14's. If you do, you'll be the fastest N/A tib on the list.

Yeah, it just depends how much trap you lost by spinning. It could be some, it could be none. In fact, sometimes you trap LOWER when you get good traction. Just depends.

In that case... it's still tough to say, but you'll probably pick up a little trap at least. I guess we won't know until you actually do it

Good luck...
