04 stang GT vs ss/sc

fiad what the hell do you know with your whole 18 posts, this post isn't about his car is it now?
I only brought up my GTO because he made it seem as if only cars that suck from a dig will roll race.
And the GTO isn't that bad, a new Mustang GT weighs 3500lbs and the Shelby GT500 weighs just under 4000lbs. My 2000/2002 Camaro SS's weighed right around 3400lbs.

Nanaki you are more than intitled to your opinion as am I.
But roll racing usually just happens where a dig race is set up. Sorry but if I am just out cruising I an't going to stop for every ******* to race me. They wanna play from a roll I am game. 9 times out of 10 if a car wins a roll race it will win a dig race. Unless we start talking about slow spooling dyno queens again.
Coming from the most biased Mustang forum I expect you to side with a SN95 vs SS/SC. But now it's just plain stupid to think the GT is quicker.

here is my 2 cents I wrote this to someone who wanted my onest opinion of a 04 stang. i used to drive my buddys all the time in PA. Here it is http://a147.ac-images.myspacecdn.com...f8d97196ea.jpg
When I drove his car these are my opinions.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I fell in the end the stock mustang gt is faster than the stock cobalt ss/sc.
From a dig: Because of the rwd it launches much better. Can't beat the laws of physics
From a roll: If you are doing a roll from bout 10-40 mph, the stang will get you because of its crazy torque.
From a roll: If you roll from 50-80 it will be bout a tie with a mustang
From a roll: Above 80 the cobalt will gain significantly because the mustangs 4th and 5th gears are very tall compared to the cobalts and like a 3.7 rear end(estimate). Also because of the supercharger, the cobalt is in its powerband the whole time above 80.

You shouldn't race old ladies in 2005 GTs that are in the slow lane of the freeway and say you killed them.

please go back to your own forums if your only here to troll.
Im sure you guys would feel the same way if a ss.net member went to your forums and made a douchbag post like you just did.

Wow, vere nice welcoming. First grade insults, a lot of respect gained for the cobalt owners there . Please tell me how a STOCK SS/SC will beat a 2005 Mustang GT without the driver of the driver of the GT not racing?
Please someone that is an adult answer this question.
PS your guys' welcoming commitee is a tad juvenile and very unpleasant.

I want to make my honest opinion also......
My friend has a SS 2.4l
I love his interior way better than mine
I love his rims
cool lighted steering wheel controls
great pioneer sound system
bigger back seat
his car is a 5 spd and mine is an auto......we raced 5 times from a dig I won 3 he won 2...
j/k we never raced each other, because of obvious reasons...
How about we stop fighting and we stick together as domestics.....you dont see the rsx fighting the accords do ya?

I came here to troll??? So because you assume things, it means I came here to troll. Very intelligent. Any other mature and intelligent responses from the Cobalt welcoming commitee??? Do you guys send out gift baskets???
How about an answer from the person that I originally commented on. How about that?
Also take note there are no childish e-thug insults in my post(s).

At least 6 of my neighbors own a Mustang from a 5.0 to a 06 GT.
And I commute 20 miles to work everyday and Drive past three different college campuses you do the math.

a few weeks ago i was at a track in fort worth, with my ls and my dad's new ss/sc. there was a blue mustang saleen there(i believe 07, maybe 06, anyways it was the new bodystyle) and it really impressed me. Granted it wasn't a straight track, but when i took my dad's car out for one session it was passing me quite a bit.
i don't know how much you can factor in with driver ability since the track was irregular, but either way, it was a sweet ride.

Hasn't it already been proven enough here?
If both got a 2.0 60ft the SS/SC would be ahead at the end of the 1/4. The 2.20 and higher 60ft's some SS/SC's are seeing is why a GT would even have a chance.
And the only reason you don't want to discuss roll races is because the GT gets murdered from a roll.
My 2003 GT was easy as hell to launch and I could easily beat a FWD of the line but the Mustangs performance after that was terrible.
As for crushing SS/SC's with my GTO nanaki at least they put up a decent fight from a roll.

Mustang GT's are a dime a dozen. Hell, my battalion normally has 8~11 Mustangs in the parking lot (some don't drive them everyday) and all but one are a GT. At my apartment building, there are always an 04 and 06 GT parked right in front of my place. Hell, considering that I have only seen 1 SS/SC running around on base, that would make the GT's downright common wouldn't it?

Oh yea, while I'm at it, one of the Mustangs in my Battalion area is a Mach 1 and one is a Cobra. There is also a two Saleens parked at the NCO Academy area on the other side of my Battalion parking lot. I swear, if they all parked next to each other it would look like a Mustang Rally.

Guys I think we should worry more about spanking the imports. Mustangs and supercharged ss's are two great cars with great strong points. Maybe its just me but honda's, nissan's and toyota's really get me wanting to show the imports what north american cars are all about. My brother and law has a stang and we carve each other constantly, but in the end we both know its us against them.

Why worry about imports, imports fall into one of two categories.
1) 98% Are so damn slow they aren't even worth the waste of time and gas
2) The other 2% are modded to the gills and are fast as ****
