i think i know what all this is about, i think 05 owners are just jealous that the 06 is newer, and we have minor mods such as a tiny xm antenna on the roof as opposed to the 05's huge ones....anyways im going to have to agree this is the dumbest thread ive seen yet on just about any fourm, it was probably a drivers race......and one drivers probably didnt know how to drive for ****....so unless you post some reliable facts, i think this is a waste of time to read

no way my '05 will smoke any 06 
your right i'm jealous of the '06 only because of the placement of the SS badges on the side. they look 10x better on the bottom of the door than in the middle

well i am going to remove my badges so that no one knows what year i have. so more 05's will race me because they can't tell and i smoke em because i have an 06 which we all know is way faster.

I know a guy that sells Chevys for a living. He told me, I quote, "The 05s are moving off the lot FASTER than the 06s because of all the incentives" so I hate to say it but it looks like the 05s are faster.......and that's STRAIGHT from the horse's mouth!!! Oh by the way we ALL know the 04 Red Lines are faster than the bunch of you'z yahoozz!

i had talked to one of my friends at the dealership the other day, and its actually the other way around. they changed the gear ratios a little bit on the 06's, making them actually faster

Well you are all crazy, the 06 is way faster. I talked to this guy, who knows this guy, who knows of a guy that actually makes the 06 personaly. He said they put the stage 2 in the cobalt as a standard option on the 06 W/ a optional 3.00 in pully. So as you can see the 06 is by far the better of the 2. Straight from the donkeys mouth.

gm didnt change anything from the 05 to the 06. i raced a 05 and beat him but, that was all driver not the car. no matter what you say the 05s are not faster then the 06s.

was your bicycle an 05 or an 06 ...because if it was 05 that would explain it ... it it was an o6 the vette wasn't racing
