off topic: is that a lexus rx330 trying to keep up? I am baffled bout that vid, you arent stock though (at least I don't think) so WORD.
For reference, with a bad launch, i ran a 15.087. With a normal launch, i have a 14.63. launches are biotches!
nice vid, but your an ass flameboy! kidding.

thats not actually my car
that is dwisforme05. he is one of my friends. if you watch the other videos from that youtube user (that is delta2.2's youtube account) you will see one video where i misshift like a bitch and drop back, and one video where i get a good launch (2 vs 2 video). he has flowmaster exhaust thats it. i have an mrt axle back.

Yeah thats me in the video againts andy. i dont know what went wrong. i guess he had a bad launch or maybe he wasnt paying attention to the light. the most important thing was it was fun. i was suprised he didnt win. But overall that whole night was a blast.

exactly...this is my only car, so i cant really keep it garaged for a week during warm months, and i make all my money during the winter, so it is most likely going to be done late winter/ early spring.

race from a 40, and watch that mustang get spanked. Now from a dig its all in the launch, it will cost him a lot to catch him, however id give my left nut and Id say that the ss.sc will catch that mustang after 100mph like it was standing still. V6 mustangs are just not in the ss.sc league. Im sorry. they are slow and heavy. 200hp (probably like 160whp)V6, im sorry.Dont get me wrong I like the car, I actually just drove one last night, my grl's siters boyfriend has one, I had to drive cuz they were too drunk. I punched it at 40 and the car almost did not move, and at 80mph it took forever to get to 90mph. I felt soooooooooooooooo slow compared to my balt. However im highly modded. and also the tach is at 120 which are probably drag limited at like 110mph.

yea 14.9's stock are sooooo slow. its about 190 at the wheels with a stick, and about 220rwtq. yea from a roll the ss/sc is gonna win and from a dig he should win, but not by a shitload. roll racing is not something you do in a mustang and kinda gay in my opinon (MY OPINION!). it just isn't as fun and doesnt require as much driver skill. and we are governed at 113 because the base model comes with HORRIBLE tires, so i would expect the ss/sc to pass like the mustang is standing still at that point
plus exhaust adds a good amount on our cars. 10rwhp+ (depending on which system). the one i have has dynoed 17rwhp more than stock. with a tune and an axle back people are running mid 14's...you guys are too stuck on how fast the 3.8's were.

The one I drove was the automatic 4.0. And ill say it again the car felt SOOOOO slow, it had absolutely NO top end at all. And those are probably very few people who had hit 14.9. Meaning that most regular drivers hit 15.5s.

The car also felt very heavy next to my ss.sc, The steering was super soft, but the hood seemed sooo long and big, It almost felt like I was driving an SUV, it also felt very unstable at high speeds, and Like it didnt want to take a curve........

of course the top end is alot less, it is a long stroke, n/a motor. you have to launch it and use that torque. most regular drivers in autos hit 15.2's 15.3's. most stick drivers hit 15.0's usually, with the horrible stock tires. with pony package (which has the pirellis from the gt and gt suspension stuff) there is much better handling and ALOT better traction, and i think it was motortrend that ran a 14.8 with the stick pony package. i didn't start this to argue.

Two things happened.......
the grooved concrete has **** for grip, so I was spinning the fronts and then the RX freaked me out, when he honked his horn, I guess to let me know he wanted to run with us
But it was a good laugh

wtf... adding .6 to see what regular drivers get? its rare that the ss/sc runs 14.2's stock, but very few do it...does that mean the average driver will run a 14.8?

i even said andy had a bad launch. andy has stage 2 also tho which is a much bigger set of mods than just an axle back. i know that the ss/sc is the quicker car, but the point is that it isn't that much quicker stock and im just trying to spread respect because alot of people seem to think the 4.0's are as slow as the old 3.8's which ran high 15's. to put it into perspective for ya, watch the video where me AND my friend who ran andy race an lt and ls. i pull about a car on my friend, and we pull alot on the ls and lt. i don't understand why you guys cant accept that he won. andy did not have a good race and under normal circumstances, yes he would definately win, but whenever somebody on here posts a kill of something like an ls1 everyone is like good kill, yay those ls1's aren't that fast, but when i post one of my friends wins against a STAGE 2 ss/sc, everyone is like BOO! why can't you just say nice or whatever?

So we all know that the ss-s/c is the faster car. Yes it should have won. But because of other factors it didnt. its not that big of a deal. it was all just for fun. i had a good time cruising with everyone. im sure everyone there had fun. its not like were racing for cash or slips hahaha. this isnt fast and furious. I think the funniest part of all of this is how that lexus tried to get in on the race. thats just funny.

well then why is it so hard to beleive that a v6 can take one on the street. its easier to launch a rwd car consistantly, and alot of times street races don't get up to the speeds you get to in a quarter mile (100ish) which means the ss/sc has less time in the top end of things to pull, and they do start pulling in the top end, the v6 should have them until around 60 if launched properly. so why is this even an argument. already said andy had a bad launch and i guess he got spooked so started to let off a bit later...

i raced a v6 mustang a while back from a light, we eased out then both punched it and i pulled on him a little by about half a car till we shut down. not sure if it was a 4.0 or 3.8
