Actually, the 300 lineup have one of the best wind tunnel ratings in its price range. Aerodynamics are a little more complicated than how something looks. I would put my money on a 300C having a better wind drag rating than a SS/SC.

However, this kill is actually very beleivable. The 300 lineup, though great cars, tend to attract people who don't necessarily know much about modding.....

How many ppl that are saying it can't be done have actually raced a300c?

Ya, at the track with my old Stage 2 and exhaust i put up a good fight, against a 300c at the track he won but barely, with a good tune i could see him beating one. Another reason for its low quarter mile time is the AWD of course, which racing from a roll will hurt the car

Buried to the carpet, the cast-iron 5.7-liter V-8 sounds just like Petty's old Plymouth (if it had mufflers the size of a milk truck). Posting 5.3 to 60 and 13.9 in the quarter at 102 mph, the 300C runs with Mustangs and 350Zs. It muscles right past anything approaching its size and price, including the 270-hp (and 3480-pound) Acura TL, which is good for 5.7 seconds to 60. It puts the Mercury Marauder on a hauler home to Mama.
13.9 @ 102mph is deffinatly beatable with his mods. Take right from C&D

Exactly. Liek I said. He probably didn't know how to drive and just wanted a fast DUB car or something.

Do you have a DYNO slip to back this up? With 300whp I find it beleivable you took on an SRT-8 300C, but I don't see you getting 300whp on the mods you listed.

SRT-8 DO NOT come in AWD.. none of them.. whether it be the 300, Charger, or Magnum.. the V-6 and 5.7L Hemi are the only ones with AVAILABLE AWD Option.

We had a guy on the dyno with a Charger SRT-8 with intake and exhaust and he only pushed 385rwhp.. these cars are difficult to mod because computer programming and tuning is extremely difficult and no one has yet to come out with a proper solution, and the fact that the motors are pretty much using full potential right now.

Why don't you believe Victory has 300fwhp? you guys high? wtf.. lol.. I'm pushing 231fwhp with just a god damn intake..

I have beat a 300C straight up, not by a load, but enough to know I can beat one; but not an SRT-8.. yet.

It isn't all about 1/4mile traps, bla bla ******* bla..

Drag kicks you in the ***** at 120mph (202km/h), the gearing, the power band of the vehicle when its in a gear at what RPM.. get where I'm going with this? Good..

Excellent kill btw.. sorry to make a rant but I'm sick of this SRT- bag o' **** **** fest lately.. HEEEEMMMIIIIIII... Let's see what those cars are doing after 100g+k's..

I think ppl would believe you if you had the mods to back it up. Im not saying this didnt happen just that by the numbers it shoudn't have happened.

trap speed is a very good indication of how a car will do from a roll. the torque curve of the 6.1 is like a shelf, so i don't know where you are going with the power band idea, and the srt-8 has better gearing for a high roll (taller) and like someone else said the 300 is actually very aerodynamic although it may not look like it. all of thse are moot points. now i didn't say he didn't beat the srt-8 and i didnt mean to start an argument. i was just saying if he doesn't have alot of mods (cause there are no mods in his sig i had no idea what he had) it would just not happen realistically.

i believe it i would think the auto tranny would take a second to upshift which would give him a small jump. stg2 2.8 I/H/E w/o cat would probably put him in the 250-260 whp range

I just hit 108 trap speed with my car and I only have intake, and stage II. So I think its possible for a Stage II to do this. =D

108mph with Stage 2 and an Intake????????????

This story looks very well full of BS.

My friend Brett's (600WHP S/C Mustang) mom drives a 300C. He drove it while we were building up his GT last year. I raced him in my SS/SC Stage 2 a few times from a dig and roll.

I won all of the races except one from a dig because I spun like a bitch. But I will say it was much closer than I was thinking it would be. From a dig it was close in the 1/8 but then I would pull. From a roll (from 40mph) it was close for a few seconds then I would pull hard.

I also raced a Charger SRT-8 at our last cruise night and got raped from a dig and roll.

Some of these posts are becoming hard to beleive anymore. The food chain around here is greatly distorted.

Didnt someone post a race up about getting beat by one of the cherokee srt 8s?.... I wont even front though... I had my car for about 2 weeks, so i was still learning how it liked to be drove.... i was on the freeway going like 65 in 4th gear... and i rolled up on a a srt8 charger... before i even had time to downshift to third he was gone... i tried to catch up, but the best i got was 2 car lengths to him :-(... I dont know how fast i was going when we slowed down either... im not really into watching the speedo when im doin crap like that... id rather pay attention to whats going on on the road.

Now that Ive had my car a while and ive figured out where the power is Id like to have another run in with one.

Again, refer to which vehicles I was talking about.. I never mentioned the Jeep.. that thing is another story..

what is 100g+k? like 100,000miles.. I know my motor will last a while.. but I'm saying those Hemi's don't have high reliability ratings. Maybe they do, i'm not sure.. a couple people i know work at Chrysler dealerships and tell me they aren't what they thought they were now that people are putting mileage on these cars..

******' Hemi.. lol.. i don't give a **** if its faster than me in reverse.. its interior is still made out of the same plastic my garbage bin is.. haha..
