Easy Mullet-man... no need to get all grumpy! Yeah... 9 out of 10 mullet-men will pick a GTO or F-body... that is very true! And Evo's and STi's are far from a Joke. Your statement of 9 out of 10 was a joke. Yes, they are nice cars... but they aren't THAT damn nice. I'd take a Stock Evo over a 900rwhp GTO or Camaro ANY DAY!

No offense dude but it's globally known camaros not somuch GTO's just scream mullet mobile. In fact when the first news of the 2009 camaro broke into the public C&D's first article started "With enough time grows their mullets back the hardcore muscle fans will be able to buy the new camaro in 2009"

You do realize your wrong right?
Most people who drive them and come to this conclusion don't know what it means to power oversteer or they are used to taking the same corner slower in there lowered ricer. It's kinda like when I went from a RWD Camaro to my SS/SC.
The SS/SC is the best balanced FWD I have driven but you cannot generalize handling characteristics between FWD, RWD and AWD. Like people they all have specific triats that make them different. With that being said it takes the least amount of experience to make the AWD peform, that being why ricers worldwide praise them.
I would put my GTO's handling between my 2002 Camaro SS and 2000 Camaro SS with SLP suspension option.
As for the mullet comments why is it that 90% comes from ricers or tuners? Are they upset that a 1998 Z28 can run there 2005 STi into the ground? Pretty dumb generalization if you ask me.

When most people try and think of what a redneck drives... they either think of a big truck... or a Camaro/Trans Am. But I'm just playing with you man. While I never liked the Camaro (Except for the Classic late 60's)... I always seemed to like the Trans Am's.

Like I said e-troll AWD can be driven easier by people like you. AWD will pull you around a short tight track quicker but on a open road handling is no better than a F-Body or GTO.
I would love to see you put money on a STi/EVO vs LS1 F-Body race. I shut up alot of people in EVO's and STi's in my Camaro SS's. My GTO will lay waste to them just as easy.
A 1998-2002 F-Body/2005-2006 GTO will run the same times and at higher trap speeds.
You seem like the kind of guy who likes to quote best times or internet bullshit for the STi/EVO which are far from average. If you knew anything at all you would realize how flawed your thinking is.
As for roll racing I don't really do that alot since I now have a car with RWD and torque.
But since you brought it up a roll race between a stock LS1 F-Body/LS2 GTO and a STi/EVO is quite funny.

First of all, WTF is "open road handling"??? You mean going in a straight line?? Yeah, I will give you that much - both cars will "handle" the same in a straight line.
And a 98-92 F-body runs the same times as your GTO? Then why waste the money on that new POS? LOL There are plenty of guys around here that I have embarrassed in their Camaros or Trans Ams that would have been willing to sell you their cars and saved you some cash.
I do agree that a roll race between F-body/GTO and my Evo will be quite funny, but certainly not the way you believe.
You find a track 1/2 way between Nebraska and PA and I'll be glad to meet you this summer and we can see what happens if you want. Loser pays for winner's gas, that way it won't cost me anything LOL

how is this arguement working? really?
stock for stock...
1/4 mile would be a good race..thats a toss up
then we come to a turn small little "s" turn...whoops...AWD FTW...good by camarro
wait then the camarro rolls back up...same roughly the same hp, with 1000lb weight difference, once again, sorry camarro
you gotta stop whatching those chevy commericals man THIS IS OUR COUNTRY!
nice cars..but not just to beat, but to **** on an STI/EVO? nope

...lol this his hilarious. You realize how youd have to have added another at least 100 flywheel hp to your car to make it even comparable to that, but wouldnt have nearly enough torque to take that. Muscle versus coffee cans... not happening. Would you be able to beat me in a race...I bet according to your standards you could....not possible

Wow... this thread got taken over by a couple trolls! And as a matter of fact... from a roll... a Slightly modded SS/SC can take an SRT-8. If you want, I can give you the E-mail address of my buddy who owns an SRT-4, SRT-8, STi, and a Procharged Camaro. I've raced him many a time in his SRT-4, so he know's what I've got.
He's not even interested in a 75 roll, because the car doesn't move well after that! Don't worry... We'll have it on film soon enough!

What do you define as a "slightly modded" SS/SC? I consider "slightly modded" to be things like intake and exhaust. If you include things like Stage 2 and more in "slightly modded", then I can see that possibly happening. SRT-8's are a driver's race with my car, and I don't imagine SS/SC's with intake and exhaust are in my neighborhood.

Some of you need to get the facts before you talk about LS1/LS2 powered vehicles. Stock vs stock they will dominate a STi/EVO. Unless the race is on a track with no straights and a corner every 100 yards.

You must not have heard of power to weight ratios?
BTW, if you want to make a sig. do it on your USER CP not on your posts!
Also while the SRT-8 may be a muscle car, your Rustang is not. Brush up on your history before you TROLL!

Did you read on MSN about Ford losing a Rustang a minute?
