06 SS/SC Stg2( ME ) Vs. Stock 03 WRX
So i was on my way home yesterday from work, and i had just got off the highway. I was making a left hand turn at a stop sign. And i just happened to notice a red 02-05 wrx sitting behind me at the stop sign. He was so close to my back bumper that if i had another layer of paint on my car he would of hit me. That just really bugs me when people are that close to my bumper. So , i start to make the turn and the wrx just keeps on my bumper like he was glued to it. Now just let me tell you i hate street racing, but in this case this guy had me kinda sour about riding my bumper.
So when i got my car into a straight line and out of first ( cause all 1st does is spin ) i got her into second and nailed it at about 2500 rpm. Right away i started to pull on him pretty well. By the time i had my car into the top end of third gear i looked behind & he was a good 3 or 4 cars behind me. Approximatly ?
His car seemed to work pretty well but i know he was suprized that i was able to pull away from him. I think he expected to be able to pass me, not fall behind Any how i know that from a dig his wrx would hook up really well and that i would have to play ketch up. But from a slow roll, i was able to pull on him ! His car sounded really nice though. Way louder then our stock cobalts exhauts !

I sure hope so ! Or there is something wrong with my car !! I know for sure he was... I had my window down and thats why i say his car sounded good & loud ! I could here him come aboard it ! He was deffinetly trying. At the end of it all, when i turned into my subdavision, he honked his horn and gave me the thumbs up out his window !
I didn't hear any blow off valve though at all, thats kinda why i think it was stock. Plus the guy driving it had to be in his late 30's or early 40's ... Kinda just thought maybe he wouldn't be into the tuner scene at his age ? Just my 2 cents .... by no means am i trying to offened anyone older that is into the tuner scene.

He would beat him in the 1/4 from a dig, but if they were racing the 1/8 the stock WRX would still win assuming they can drive it.
Those things can run low 14s at a really slow 91-93 mph, so just imagine how good their 1/8 mile times would be, since they don't have the power for a high trap in the 1/4.

I tend to agree on the 1/8th mile part. I cant ever seem to get my car to hook up at all in first and some of second. I think i need better tires and more practice. I could see a wrx winning the 1/8th mile but lossing the 1/4 to a stg2 balt. Just my guess and .02 cents.
