Lt1 cars are getting old... depending on the condition that the owner has kept their car in, they can be reasonability quick stock (i.e. high 13's, low 14's) or they can be complete dogs, especially - 2.73 rear axle, A4 convertibles The fact that maintenance is pretty difficult to accomplish on these cars increases the probability that you will run into a slow one.
My car, with 180K on the clock, ran 14.2 @ 100 mph stock. Its running a little bit faster than that now.

I love the guys who say I dyno'd at 350 blah blah. Here in the Portland area the dynos are all over the place. MY buddy had a WRX heavily modd'ed and traded up for an STI. He dyno'd at a local shop at 350whp. The guys in the shop told him they could get him to 500hp, no problem. He knew it was BS, and asked around and went to two other reputable shops and dyno'd at 300whp at Torquefreaks and the same at another shop. Dyno's are only good as a reference for before and after numbers for mods. Go to the track for a reality check.
And nice kill on the LT1. Totally believable.
