Ford Makes The V6
Mazda Makes the I4
The car is assembled in Hiroshima Japan.
The company designed this car from scratch without off the shelf parts.
Not exactly a Ford...
They limit 3rd gear because is still spins the stock tires in 3rd at 65 MPH.
M/T Drag Radials are starting to be used.
Torque Kill Kill is an electronic device that overrides the torque limiter in 1-3.
Your sure yer not from Shediac? I was really clear.

But anyway 3rd gear at 65? I find that hard to belive unless the car has very bad weight distribution. It takes quite a few bolt ons before an srt4 can start spinning it's wheels in 3rd and they are tq monsters......on 205's none the less
And if it DOES spin 3rd at 65....they should go back to the drawing board and start over because that is just stupid.

I mean, i'm not bashing the car, I would actually think about getting one if they made it in the 4 door sedan version, but there's NO WAY it's spinning 3rd gear. The reason I think they did that is to not have people blowing their axles and getting some decent traction in 1st gear....I still don't know why they would limit 3rd though....or even 2nd...

how is the rx-8 a pos? for what it was designed for it is a very good car. Nothing like the rx-7's because it isn't a straight line car, but it will rape the living **** out of most faster cars(in the 1320) on a road course. it handles very very nicely.
280 ft lbs is why... If i can spin the tires half way through 2nd with about 250 ft lbs in a car with 3.31:1 gearing, rwd, and almost exactly 50/50 weight distribution, then a fwd car with 280 ft lbs and 3.94:1 final drive for first through 4th gear should definately be able to spin em all the way through second and partly into third without having a driver that knows what he is doing and since most of the people driving em probably dont, it is a pretty good idea to limit 3rd.

All I know is that if I bought that car, the first thing i'd get is a TBE, CAI, and a tune that gets rid of the boost limit...That would defiantely produce some nice times on a track and nice numbers on a dyno

Dude, they can't possibly have 280 at the wheels. If so, then yeah I guess but I don't think they dyno 280wtq. I realize they have short gearing but I really don't think they can spin 3rd. Chirp it, MAYBE, spin it, I don't see it happening without mods.
