check this one out.. and yes it still have the 11.5:1 compression ratio...

Not to be rude but that is false information, both motors internals are weak, they can only handle about 11psi on STOCK internals, and thats pushing it, so how can it make 400whp on stock internals bro, please show me one celica gt-s on newcelica.org pushing 400whp on stock internals, you wont.

Are you sure it was the wastegate? (hint hint, they dont "scream")

That wasnt me, Im not a celica fan, he was on my account. Sorry guys(I know a celi would explode with that much more than 12ish psi running thru it, the 2zz can only handle so much with 10.5:1 comp)

um... there's the link.. check it out. they boosted to 16psi on 11.5:1 compression and got 412whp out of it. MWR is also on newcelica and posted up about thier shop gts. it's not in the dyno list because they are a shop.

Dont want to argue with you guys, but its says right on the Greddy website that it gives about 25% more h/p. So take the SI's 170-180 + 25% = 215-225 hp. Preatty sure a GMS2. CAI, 2.9 and catback cobalt makes alot more than that. I think its a preaty sure win!

hahaha yeah i can see that!! I mean even Greddy is claiming 25%... Usually aftermarket companies inflate #'s. So really 25% could in reality be like 20%.

But nonetheless a K20 motor = highcompression. They cant handle boost very well.

But for a bolt on, its alot of power, but its alot of money for still being burn by uswith minor modds!! muahahah cant wait to line up next summer!

wow troll + 1 is annoying. I'll make sure tu video tape me owning this SI turbo next spring and send u a copy for your birthday!!

Unless he wants to open motor, he's going to loose.
He can pass me, but that woud mean pushing more boost than his car can "safely" handle.

Now i know its hard for you honda boys to imagine this, but honda motors do blow just like any other motor

Well then why does Greddy only offer a lowboost option for the new SI = 230whp if it could really handle 562 whp? wouldnt it be a better ideal to have at least a 300whp option from Greddy??

lol please dont use that as a reference, it is on high octane race fuel and the guy even said he is waiting for it to pop because he knows it is going to.

But that's the thing, it didn't. He drove it around for a long time and as far as I know still is driving it. does it matter what fuel was used?????

I know people that drive methanol fueled cars around town.

Jesus Christ you're on a cobalt forum arguing about how great the vaunted VTec motor is. Congrats on being a Vtec rube with the 80 gazillion others out there. The Si is a car that was sweet like a decade ago, and they have done nothing worthwhile to improve them. I'll consider honda/acura valid competition when they actually come out with a car that's better than 15.5 stock. 22k + 5k for a turbo = way too much money for not nearly enough torque.

NSX faster than 15.5 stock...

S2000 faster than 15.5 stock...

Acura TL faster than 15.5 stock...

All 3 can run with or beat a stock SS/SC

RSX type-S faster than 15.5 stock...

Integra type-R faster than 15.5 stock...

Honda Civic SI faster than 15.5 stock...

Integra GSR faster than 15.5 stock...

ALL NATURALLY ASPIRATED. Funny how when someone defends a car to someone that doesn't respect it or know anything about it, they are flamed and labeled a "Vtec rube" among other things. Educate yourself and it will change your opinion.
