If you are stage 2 and he has a tuned VF-39 set -up with around 300 whp. I 'll bet he's out 4-6 cars by 100!

As for the race, things can happen. You never know. However, if he has 320hp to the wheels, you are burnt toast. Good luck. After he wins, tell him after you put 10k-15k into your car you will be about 200 pounds lighter and have more horsepower.

Good guesses and info guys...keep them coming

Right now majority seems to be leaning to 5+ car lengths @ 100.

I hate to say this as well, but if he's running 300-320whp, your Stage 2 will not keep up. I have a buddy with a normal WRX pushing only 287 AWHP and he pulls me on the top end with all the mods I have. It's close but he still pulls me about a car length. I do however get the initial jump on him always from a roll.

Your best chance is in second gear at 45-50mph. This is your money spot. Make sure you slam 3rd gear and don't miss it either. Good luck.

Thanks 2K5 good info.

Just so everyone knows...I will say it again...I am not saying I will win...in fact I know I won't. Just wanting to see who can guess the closest to how much I lose by

4 cars, thats my guess. Shouldnt be more than that though. Like every1 else is saying, 40 roll, and if you can get him to do this, a 15 roll or 10 roll. You will eat him up the first ilke 2 seconds lol

A friend has a sti that made 295awhp and ran a 12.8@107 with a decent launch. From a 60mph roll after 100 he starts to inch away from my car on top. At 120 he has almost a car on my Z.

Good luck with the run!

its gonna be all about the driver mod i think....if he sucks at driving it will be close but if he is a good driver you are gonna get beat by no more than 3-4 car lengths..put the video up when you get it!!!!

TRUST ME GUYS!!!!

I WANT to make this vid. Not just for you guys but for myself. He has done nothing but trash talk and he is kinda wussing out. Yesterday I told him I wanted to run but he said it was wet out and he was worried about traction. Whatever, I have the FWD, not to mention we are running from a roll??? What traction issues haha?

Anyways, I want this video to so trust me...I will stay on him about it and get it on here!!!

Ummm... the traction issues from it being wet. You or him hit a puddle and hydroplane, game over.

Where in Wisconsin are you at Tom? If you are close enough I would be more than happy to run your car for the heck of it.

So puddles can't form???
You know what misting is right? And you are aware that highways (at least in wisconsin) slope slighty off to the side of the road to prevent puddles anyways, but thats still beside the point. Point is...it was MISTING...not drizzling...not raining...not scattered showers...so NO...puddles can't form. and before you reply something else..."misting" means that about a cup full of water fell over about 30 square miles...so no puddles...misting. Again...misting...no puddles possible...that help?

My balt with the stock intake and stage II kept about the same pace as a stock 07 STI limited from 70-up. didn't really pull him but i was gaining inches slowly after about 125

I/E on the SS/SC gives you guys great gains I raced a balt from a 40 with my 07 STi and lost by 1/2 car length. If the kid runs a 13.7 hes an idiot. Goodluck.

Even if he was a modded 07...I am still happy with my car...and I would rather have a 300whp SS/SC than a STI with 400WHP any day of the week...I just think they are fun car. I really like the EVO and STI, but whats funny (and I am NOT bashing or saying anything against anyone)...but I could of pretty much bought any car I wanted to when I bought my cobalt...but I CHOOSE the cobalt because it was fun, very under estimated, chevy, and I have never had a four banger before and thought it would be cool to mod on one. I won't be messing with a "compact" when I purchase a new car...like I told MEZZ, I am either going with a Z06 or a VIPER. Just waiting to hit my 30th here soon and for the one ticket I have to drop off so I can afford insurance...then I am probably dodging it

BUT..I will say...those are extremely nice numbers!!!

I had a hyundai tiburon that i loved.yet I had to get rid of it because it was too small inside for daily use.I understand I was just ecstatic about what I just found about my car.

Agreed. It's not about price to me...it's about having fun. I have built V-8's my whole life. I figured ti was time to see what I could get a 4 to do (after my warranty is up of course)
