idk bout everyone else, but i ran into a 07 civic si today, he came up my side, i had my "wife" chelsea, haha wife is an inside joke we got, but then i had my cousin joe also with me, well we on the highway he takes off at an 80 im like wow w/e downed the ss into 3rd caught up and flew by him, we stop at a light he goes dam dude u ate me there, i said ok so from a 40 lets go, hes like ok get onto the highway we go, i instantly jumped a car or 2 on him by the time i was done i had like 5 on him, well anyways, if i didnt have my system and one less passenger since he had him and 1 passenger and i had 2 i woulda blown him away by more than 5 cars maybe a good 6, but anyways, i thought these things were really quick, but i find em torqueless toys to play with

yes they can actually get that pretty easy...supercharged si's are pushing as much as stage 2 cobalts imagine how much a turbo si runs... full bolt ons, a good tune and a massive turbo, front mount and a good tune theyll see about 310 hp say about 5 grand theyll push that

those SI's will beat a stock 2.4 on paper..realisticly its a drivers race..a stock ss/sc should win if the ss/sc can drive..
as for turboed civics..yeah..for about..3-4 grand into ur Si u can have one ******* fast Honda..300 HP easy..no stg2 cobalt will touch that..
but..it goes both ways..turbo a 2.4 and you are cooking with gas!!

On a freeway pull, the Si creeps away from me. But from a dead stop, I've taken 2 different 07 Si's. And I have a 2.2L 'balt. But yeah, they are actually kinda rare. I see more 2.0 cobalts than new Si's.
Actually, I think its just my first and second gear that takes em, because they start to inch up after that. They seem like a honda fit for about 3 whole seconds. That's the time it takes them to get into their powerband in first. :P

I feel like to get anything out of a NA honda, you have to beat the crap out of it. You must live in that last 1500 before redline. Almost makes me cringe when I drive them.

The new Civic Si's do respond fairly well to mods, ESPECIALLY F/I. There's one out my way with the M62 on it and he ran a 13.1, and I'm pretty sure he has a high 12 in there comin. Sharp lil car actually, and this coming from someone that's not much of a fan of Hondas.

On the 2.2L front, I feel that a 2.2L cobalt could not run with an Si. I was on the highway a few weeks back and at 80 was playing with one. He got the jump on me as I was in 5th and had to downshift 2 gears but we did a couple of pulls and on the top end about 95mph or so he pulled me. I'm sure if I had exhaust/intake/tune it'd be a completely different story.

I had one give me a fly by in traffic the other day, then I merged onto another highway that was wayyyy less busy and saw him up ahead. I caught up and he wouldnt even look over at me. I like the new Si and was going to give him a thumbs up but he was a nub, and really didnt know what was going on. Its funny... when we were in thick traffic he had no problems giving me the fly by and redline shift acting all fast , but when it came down to it, he wanted no part of the 4cyl chevy ..
