My brothers friend got a 08 ss t/c about 3months ago and ever since then my brother has been trying to get us to race,well my brother had a get together last sunday and we were both their. so it was on.
we both had a passanger in our cars. hes bone stock SS T/C, i have an 07 SS S/C Stage2 with GMPP exhaust line.


our first run was from 100km/h,from the start we were even until 120,then i started pulling on him,and eventualy had about 6cars on him by 200 which is were i shut down.

we did a run from a Digg(we both have winter tires im on 16's,hes on 18's).
for all of 1st gear we were dead even spinning tires,into 2nd gear i jumped ahead pulling 3cars by mid 3rd gear.

3rd and final race was from a 65km.h roll on,for all of 2nd gear we were pretty much dead even ,then in 3rd gear i pulled ahead and by 4th gear i had again 3-4cars on him.


i was pretty confident in beating but not by that much, the passanger in his car said he was shifting pretty well.
i did love to hear him spool beside me,but once id punch the gas my exhaust would bury his sound

Stage 2 with exhaust obviously takes stock tcs even through 3rd. That is all

i dont quite get it..but whatever..lol. are s/c supose to be slow in 3rd gear? or the other way around?

I always thought a stage 2 with bolt on's would take a stock TC anyday. But you are always going to have your haters. But someone will def. post, it all depends on the driver, DRIVER MOD !!!!! I have been looking around for a TC on the weekends to see what I can do against one but can never find one. I think I will do pretty well. When my car was stock I raced and SRT 4 from third gear and we were neck and neck till we shut down.

the guy that owns the t/c,told me word for word,if he could go back he would buy the S/C instead of the t/c. Id agree and say the t/c has more potential and some awesome features. Anyways its not to bash on the t/c i like like the car i was just sharing my experience vs one.

lol,you make no sense. Their was a passenger in his car ,which is a mutual friend and he said he could drive,and i even stated that.seriously...why does their always have to be someone hating on everything.

He says this because on many occasions it's been proven that a TC should kill you from a 3rd gear roll. Under no circumstances should a TC be beaten by that much of a margin against Stage 2/Exhaust.

I do agree, that 6 car length win is kinda hard to believe, but the others seem a little more realistic.

maybe i missed judge abit,but at those speeds i try to focus on whats ahead,and i was looking threw the side mirrors,so its close then it apears ...i also tought it would of been closer then what it was.

Stock SS/TC's feel VERY slow.... but you can feel the torque... Stage 2 SS/SC's should still not beat them by that much...

I'd say being in the 13's for under $30,000 is pretty great. Just my opinion.

I don't like how the SS/TC's are getting a bad rep just because some people started talking poop about the SS/SC in comparison. I like both the TC and SC but the bottom line is that we are all Cobalts and should be praising each other and learning from each other. This is a Cobalt forum, be nice. End mini rant.

Bone stock SC? Yeah right. One of my best friends has one, we've raced a million times. Even when I my corsa sport and aem intake, he would still edge me out.... it 3rd out of all gears... maybe it was an sx 2.0? lol j/k. Seriously. Most often than not in ricer races like that he gets on it a little late.

If your stage2 only exhaust you raced a retard to win vs a tc END OF STORY. I posted a realistic race of equal driver mod with a tc vs sc. Sc wins til 3rd then tc tells you who your daddy is unless meth + 2.8 come to play.

i never said the guy cried for his sc back,whats your problem. the guy said if he could re-do his decision(as in buying his car) he'd buy a s/c instead of a t/c.thats his choice not yours.

we raced 3 times,2 times from a roll and once from a digg,im an excellent driver maybe hes not as good,i dont know ive never seen him drive i can only rely on my friend who was with him and said he was a good driver.if anyone here is from my area with a t/c ill take you on no problem.
im from the northshore of montreal,no exactly quebec city.

at the end of the day i dont care if you beleive me or not,im sharing my experience. if you wanna hate because you have all these mods and coulnt pull more then 2 cars on a t/c then hate. lots of things can come into play in a race. and i say this because i know you guys care or else you woulnt take the time to come here and bash/hate/ try to put others down.
