I am and always will be a die-hard fbody fan, but i completely disagree about the 4th gen V6 potential and heres why.

To get the car into any decent performance numbers, it takes SIGNIFICANT modding and some form of tune. On top of this, the trannys had a notorious reputation that i can personally confirm because mine when out at 50K with nothing but an intake and a muffler.

The amount of money it would take to whip this vehicle into shape would be better spent on just getting one with an LS1 in it.

Its a little more complicated than just slapping on forced induction, you have to add supporting mods such as new tranny, half decent tires, tune, exhaust, and probably some form of rear end. Because even the LS1 rearends were shattering with hard launches.

All of this just to make it ALMOST as fast as a Z28.
i dont know man... with just stage 2 and tires, maybe a torque damper.. we hit 13's. thats a respectable # as far as i'm concerned..

Even I would have thought that would be a closer race. Are you both stock? Was it a fairly steady pull or did he pull more at high speeds, more at low speeds?

I was talking about the 3.8 liter (or any V6 for that matter) Camaro.

I don't think anyone in their right mind will consider a Stage 2 Cobalt to be a slow car by any means in terms of bang/buck.
