I have seen at least 4 seperate Type R's run 14.7s. All of them were stock. lsj06ecotec does not know what he is talking about. Ignore him!

PS- Not bashing Honda but if you look over at 8th Civic.com there are plenty of people having tranny problems. Moral is almost every car will have its drawbacks.

once again the group of ss drivers that think they ahve the fastest car in the world come out to make trouble. don't get me wrong alot of you are cool, but many of you *cough* lsj06ecotec *cough* just make up bs and say stuff like, "i lost my slip, but i will get one next time." ok well then don't try to prove your point because none of us will beleive it without proof. whatever....im not allowed to argue here anymore, even if people call me out.

this argument is really dumb once again. cobalt ss/sc is not greater than everything, but honda is not greater than everything either...so what, an rsx-s with hondata long tube race headers, an intake and exhaust can take an ss/sc....woopdy doo, hondata alone costs like 900 bucks. add a good 400+ for long tubes, then a few hundred for intake, maybe another few hundred for exhaust and that is a pretty large chunk of cash. and an ss/sc responds better to mods... low 13's are attainable in street trim for pretty cheap....but the internals are pretty weak...this is yet another my e-dick is bigger than yours thread. just shut the hell up already, there are nice hondas and nice chevy's.... you all obviously like your own car better, thats why you ******* bought it, so why do you have to sit there and talk trash about other people's cars?

8th car down is a close friend of mine, this car is ******* sick -04 RSX-S A-SPEC with Hondata, Fujitsibo cat back, DC Sports header, High Flow cat, AEM intake, dynoed 241Whp. runs mid 14's to low 14's all day. if she changed her clutch she would be in the high 13's we think.

(Dave sold the car to my close friend)

Sorry didnt really read the whole thread because it went way off course.

Just wanted to throw in that it would be a total drivers race. The launch will decide everything. Good luck.

All you guys need to grow up. I though modding cars was supposed to be a hobby, a passion, of sort. Isn't it supposed to be fun? Instead all we hear is guys bitching at other guys about how stupid they are. Wow.

whoever said type r's can't hit the 14's are poo poo heads................

type r's can run 14.7 all day long

and don't u guys no...

when ur at cobaltss.net
cobalts are the best car known to man..
and
when ur at clubrsx,hondatech

honda's are gods gift its just how it is....

personally i think cobalt owners are a little too confident....
they see a vid of a ss sc beating a rsx or a honduhhhh , and then they get it in their mind that there isn't any possible chance for them to loose to one...

there's always factors in life
a slightly modded rsx/civic si can beat a cobalt ss s/c
all im talking is intake header exhaust and hondata tune with those mods ur looking at high 13's to low 14's all motor

now i love my rsx but i always love my brothers cobalt ss and their is not comparicent he takes me off the line almost everytime but that was stock to stock change things up a little bit and it will be differen't

rsx-s/civic si responds better to bolt ons way better then cobalts do

cobalts will always have torque over us

their are advantages and disadvantages in life we just have to deal with them...lol

but im tired of people always saying imports and ****, u know some of ur parts come from out of the us...? so that doesn't make ur car a true american car...

who cares....

u like ur car we like ours

u like rap we like metal

u do what u like

and u like what u like

ya, but for some reason my 2nd gear kept shitting on me. i would get first up to about 5 1/2 and then when i shifted it would shoot all the way over to the 3 1/2 but wouldnt go anywhere and sounded like it was redlining. did it for both digs. but after that everything went great.

what your talking about is clutch slip.
and not because of the clutch.
if your shift before your redline your not going to be going at the top speed of that gear, and when you shift to second your going to be at a lower RPM, meaning when you mat it, your clutch cant handle putting all that torque to wheels that arent going fast enough.

Think of it like trying to launch from a dig in second.

shift at a higher RPM, and try doing your 1-2 shift just as quick as you are....but let of the gas just a touch more than you are doing to give the clutch a halfsecond more to engage before you pour all your ponies at it.
