Which is easy with a close ratio 6spd and 4.77 gears! My god you're thick.

BOTTOM LINE

Fastest SS/SC = 14.0? @ 100.??
Fastest SI = 14.096 @ 99.??

Im not saying its not a drivers race. The Si is easier to launch. The SS has more power, but SUCKS ASS from a dig.

The SS is def the faster car here though. Its just a matter of putting that power to the ground. U could always compare the two with DR's. Im pretty sure the SS would be ahead quite a bit more.

i dont know the science of all these torque curves and drag times, but i know that when i was stock i never lost a roll raced against a stock si, or even came close, i dont know of anyone who lost from a roll to an si stock vs stock....

nah. People just need to learn how to drive their ****. Im pretty sure that one of the guys on here got a 13.6 on a stock sc. Now that I think of it, it was hatrickstu. Ill PM him to see what he got, but I know it was somewhere in the 13's. I also know that there are guys running mid 13's with the LNF, so yea...

No sir, but I've seen the Si win from a stop many times. From a roll the races were VERY close though. The SS/SC would usually end up pulling away at some point but less than a car in long long races.

The LNF is not an SS/SC its setup is much different and is capable of much better launches.

Cool someone got 13.6 on the stock M62, while Si's are doing that and better, even into the 12's all motor. To each their own but at least show some respect and lack of ignorance.

less than a car in long races? the closest roll i had with an si started at 45 and stopped at 110, i was ahead by 2 cars, im suspicious whether it was stock tho, the other si's it was 3 cars or "more", but ended at 110-130

Bad drivers, wrong gear, slow shifting, who knows. I only deal with people who know their **** so maybe thats why we run better times and have better races than the mass of the ignorant populus.

I think you guys need to start looking in the dictionary. Fast does not = QUICK. For all of these examples, I think using the correct terms may help clarify things. Most likely the car that gets the same ET but a higher trap will be able to outrun the other car if the race were to keep going on for miles (A long road course for example). Personally, I think a car is more fun to drive that can get the same ET w/ a higher trap, but that's just me.

these were just random races, it happend on the freeway, nothing i was plannign for or expecting. one of my friends (former si owner who doesnt like cobalts) with a 335 sedan challenged me to a race this summer, were gonna roll so i'll have a small shot. by then ill have meth injection, 60 lbs injector 2.5 pulley, all the cooling mods etc etc its stock right now, but he might put a chip in, i hope not, they run low 12's to high 11's with just a chip.

k series SI's are terds....End of story, no match stock vs stock or Mod vs Mod for an LSJ with a good driver behind the wheel. Actually to tell which car is faster, put them both in their final gear from a roll and let them go.

GM's boat anchor that would demolish your car with the AC on and half throttle.
