Do whateve you want, a stock Si can hit a 14.3.

So how do we know this Si that the OP raced doesnt have a tune? With a couple mods and a tune it can be a high 13 second car, and depending on their driving skill vs. the OP in his SS/SC it could be a drivers race, or the OP should be winning.

I dont think a stock Civic Si has gone 14.3, but I know they can run in the 14.6-14.7 range, and around 14.0-14.1 with just intake, exhaust and tune, and with DR's they can easily get into the 13's.

Not on stock tires it will not...I think your the ignorant one. You might not be able to tell one someones using a small shot of nitrous....but if your using 100shot or more...sorry..you can tell when someone hits it.

On what? A stock Si running a 14.3? That is extremely rare. EXTREMELY RARE! With a 40mph tail-wind behind the Si it may become more common.

If it's about the torque arguement than yes he is right. Torque is over-rated.

Actually Civic Si's have gone faster than 14.3 stock, thats just what I've seen in person...

I know for a fact they've been as low as 14.0. With I/H/E they can be a 13 second car without some kinda magic tune that seems to be the scapegoat for everyone. Given a good driver in the right conditions, and no not a 40mph tailwind, just near 0 DA and a good track.

Sure it's a negative DA, but even corrected for alititude the time is till a 14.3...

Dyno of the same stock Civic...

I have a real hard time believing that a car with maybe 225 whp and 165 wtrq with all those mods ( I'm being very generous here with the numbers) could run 12s. Hell I have 307 whp and 330 wtrq and my car probably runs high 12s on slicks so you are telling me that a bolt on tuned SI runs low 13s to high 12s. There is no way in hell a bolt on civic SI will keep up with my car, trust me I pull buslenghs on them. My brothers standard cab 2wd 4.7L Dodge Dakota that makes 225 whp and 300 wtrq will pull on a stock SI. I was in the truck when he raced one
