there is no way in hell a stock Si can do a 14.0 on stock tires and stock everything else. the 14.3 was just luck and if u think a si can do the 1/4 faster than any ss/sc has done it with more power and tq with the same weight u my friend are a *******

Stock SS/TCs have run 13.5s but your average driver runs 13.9-14.2 with them so some drivers and conditions are better than others.

I have a real hard time believing that a car with maybe 225 whp and 165 wtrq with all those mods ( I'm being very generous here with the numbers) could run 12s. Hell I have 307 whp and 330 wtrq and my car probably runs high 12s on slicks so you are telling me that a bolt on tuned SI runs low 13s to high 12s. There is no way in hell a bolt on civic SI will keep up with my car, trust me I pull buslenghs on them.

I have real hard time picturing a 2900 lb car with 225 whp and 165 wtrq running 12s even with an insane launch and slicks. Kind of defies physics, and I dont care how high you rev it. Like I said my car probably runs high 12s with slicks or DRs and I will rape any bolt on tuned SI guaranteed.

That car is obviously gutted and probably running a fully built motor. I I am willing to bet he makes about 300whp or so. Tell me this how is it that a S2000 with 225 whp or so and rwd run high 13s to low 14s but weighs the same as a Si and revs higher and is geared better for acceleration. Does not make sense to me. BTW do you own a Honda or something you seem to like them a lot.
Those cars in the videos do not have anywhere close to 300whp. I've never even heard of a K20 going much more than 250whp all motor.
And as for the S2000 comment, you should get out of the business of bench racing with speculation and get into actually finding out what cars can do.

lol you really don't know anything. I don't drive a Honda I drive a GM, never owned one, but I've seen what they do in capable hands. My friends 06 RSX-S has gone 13.3 @ 104 with zero weight reduction on only drag radials and it only makes 230whp ALL MOTOR.

Do you have a vid of the RSX? Sounds possible with some perfect driving but those cars were never meant to do that in the hands of an amateur
I am having trouble with the fact that you don't think that the vid of the all motor class is not fully built.

And no, amatures won't run low 13's in their Si's and RSX-S's. They'll get a host of bolt ons and go to the track on stock tires and run in the 15's. Then Cobalt guys who were watching will come post that it could never happen because they saw an Si in the 15's.
Sorry no video, we don't usually care to have to prove ourselves to the world everytime we go to the track. Kinda like how I get flack for running 11's in a bolt on GTO even though several other have as well.

but seriously guys my boy kevin is a EXCELLENT driver. not being a stereotype but this asian can drive his honda... i told him that already... we laugh about it

Well it must be all the barley and hops in the air in my area slowing all these super Si's down because I can't find a single driver from Milwaukee to Chicago that can drive their Si worth a ****!

they would be amazed at what good gearing can do.
some of you might want to pick up a psychics book and learn a little something about torque multiplication.
theres more to how fast a car will be than just car A has X hp/tq and car B has Y hp/tq.
the cobalt has a lot of power but poor gearing ( you ever notice when pulling away from a light ,all the other cars seem to be able to pull away faster under normal acceleration ...)
the SI has close ratio gearing to efficiently use its power.
puls the SI responds really well to mods becasue they are so detuned from the factory.
but its not an easy car to drive , becasue the car has such a narrow powerband. shift to slow and its easy to land out of your power band.
buddy # 1 with an si went from 15.00 @99with intake and exhaust to 14.5@97 with a 2.3 60Ft with the same mods just from power shifting(not taking your foot off the gas)
buddy #2 with an si with I/H/E runs a consistent 14.2-to 14.4. @97-98
raced him from a 40 roll, he stayed even with me up to my 2nd gear then i started to pull from 3rd up. by the mid 4th i had a good 2-3 or so cars on him, but i know in the 1/4 it would be a good drivers race.
buddy #3 with an rsx-s i/h/e solid race mounts,traction bars, and k-pro and slicks went 13.freaken 3 @100.XX with a 1.6 50ft
notice the low trap speed...thats pure efficiency. thoes are time were not one 1" of the 1/4 mile was wasted. now you looke at cobalts running 13.9@109 thats called lack of traction and goofy gearing. hell look my times, with a 101-103 trap i should mid 13s but i suck at driving, and thats the case with most of your experience . not everyone is a pro driver and can pull 1.9 60s in a fwd car ,so of course your gonna see some si's pull some bad times due to there driver , same thing with the SS , just becasue you saw ,raced, heard about a si running poorly dosn't mean they all do.

i would hope you would do better than that, if you dont , dont blame the car...
hatrickstu runs 12.7 on a stock blower with dr's ,hes modded but i dont think hes @ 300hp
i would hope a 300hp TC would do better than a high 12 on slicks , considering its smaller finale drive...

well this weekend the red ss is going to race again against the si... but as you can see the 50% boost reduction first gear gives me awesome launches. i was a little late cause they have camara's on the lights at those streets. so if you cross over a sensor in the ground. flash/picture of your face, license plate, and spot of your car... 2 weeks later a ticket in the mail... so all i'm saying guys that are staying stage 2 like myself and probably others... get the 50% 1st gear boost reduction. its beautiful. you can still clean the dirt off your tires or do a burnout anyday... i clean the dirt off if i have time. never a burnout... i like my tires lol

Whats the difference between all motor and fully built? The RSX in question that ran 13.3 has a stock motor aside from cams. Describe "Fully built" because the K20 comes with like 11:1 compression, pistons aren't going to bump that up. I'm willing to bet the motors in those cars I posted videos of had stock internals aside from the cams.

aside from cams..........
my motor is stock except for cam, heads, etc etc.......lol
no diff in all motor and fully built. the point i was making was that for them to even consider competing in an all motor class with a wide range of "allowed" builds....they were more than just cams.......it be like competing in a class with any power adder and only spraying a 50 shot.......
no need to prove it.......just expects doubts.
I have seen 11 sec bolt on Ls1 and Ls2.......so

Hatrickstu's car is 316 whp and 267 wtrq. He is a good driver obviously. I have never run my car at the track but it runs about as well as my LS2 GTO did and it ran 12.8 at 110. I am telling you SI Civics are not very fast I raced some kid in a black one that wanted to try and keep me from passing him on the hwy lets just say I pulled pretty hard on him.
I'm gonna have to call BS on that.
