the trans has it still. it stays there or else the tranny ***** itself.
said 12.34 tbss on a brushed concrete bridge will blow the tires off with ease. 2nd gear burn out at 6k rpms. then stalled to 2300 then mashed to the floor will result in all kinds of mayhem on the back side of it. this is on mickey thompson drag radials. it will blow the tires off untill you let out of it. this one only put down 350 rwhp and 349 rwtq.
stock torque management settings on both motor and trans.

I have an 08 RWD TBSS that ran 13.5 at 102mph bone stock, all I removed was the spare tire. There is a Head/ Cam Package AWD TBSS running 12.29's out my way. Do NOT underestimate the TBSS. You ran from a roll which is not a strong point for a 5K pound SUV with 4:10 gears in it, and from what you posted, he had a K&N intake, which are junk for our trucks, and a cat-back which does nothing but add sound, and NO tune. So in retrospect, he had a stock, louder truck. lol...
A dyno tune alone makes a night and day difference in these beasts. My truck will be in the 11's once I get her back from Tune Time Performance with minimal mods. Please don't get it twisted though, I have LOADS of props for the Cobalts, especially since I used to own one. The new SS/TC's are damn nice with massive potential, BUT...They do MUCH better on a road course then in the quarter. The TBSS from a dig will NOT allow an SS/TC to walk away so easily. They are hole shot BEASTS, especially with the driver mod. The fastest stock AWD runs 13.7's and fastest RWD 13.5's... There is a guy I know that ran 13.3's with swapping to smaller wheels and tires on all four corners and no performance mods at all.

How does a "my stock ss/tc ran away from a I/E TbSS" post turn into,
well I know of this tbss with x number of mods going xx.xx in the quarter, and the fastest stock tbss goes xx.xx time, and my sstb goes this time with x number of mods.
this was a thread about a stock ss/tc running away from lightly modded tbss, end of story.
in this case, the tbss lost to a ss/tc multiple times.
this was a roll race, and from a roll, trap speed will dictate the winner.
a car that runs 13.5 at 102 running a 13.8 car at 104, i will bet on the 13.8 car to win from a roll.

Because the OP is a moron, so smart people decided to come in and make smart conversation. Thats the way a forum works.

Its all good glad you bet him. Thinking that driver mod and from a dig it would have been a much closer race.
I own both Cobalt SS/SC and TBSS with mods but i have never ran them together. I have no clue which would out run the other. I never have time to get out to a track either to see what they both would run. But unfortanly for me i have AWD TBSS so like someone said = slow lol.

Hey Tim, I see you got your login stuff fixed. lol...
All I was doing with posting that information, was informing people of the potential of our brick on wheels. That and to explain that the TBSS he ran had no real viable mods done. Not trying to turn this into a GTO vs Cobalt kinda thread either. LMAO! Just educating people..
Congrats on the win...
