09 ss/tc vs '90 built crx
well, went down to the weekly meet down here... as i was leaving some honda guys yelled is that fast? i pulled over (this is in a parking lot) and told the kid to come talk to me if wants know anything. he walks over and asks me the same question. i ask him what he has and he says a `90 honda crx with a built ls v-tech. i have no idea wtf this means. i was gonna ask him if he did an engine swap with a v-tech head on his ls1. hahahhaaha, but i dont think he would have got the joke. so anyways, we go to the freeway and im getting ready honk off and he just guns it....??? so he realizes im not racing yet cause nobody signaled each other. he has a passenger and so do i (Matt). so this time from a 40 he honks it off even though he told me to... sooooo.... this time its on. i floored it in 2nd and NLSed into 3rd... can you say bus lengths. hahhaha. this happened 2 more times.... why? i think he was in denial. hahaha. he asked if my **** was stock which it is and i asked him if **** was really built which it is. hahaha. so a good night for the TC. he was really surprised, had no idea about the cobalts. i need tires bad im peeling out in 2nd gear 40 rolls. the stock contis have got to go.
the guy was pretty cool, his friends followed him out too.
Matt was recording on his cell phone. i will upload the vid tomorrow.
cliff notes: built crx wants to run. beat him 3 times from a 40 roll, shutting down at about 110 ish. those cars are supposed to be light too

hell a b16 vs a ls vtec it will still win.
i believe the kid was lying to you op.
a truely built ls vtec should be at like 225+
that being said a fully built ls/vtec is capable of 12s all day.
good run none the less bud.

and you do also know that the b16 has less torque than a ls vtec right? the only reason people make them is because they have more torque than the b18c1(i believe thats the gsr) because they have more dislpacement.
fyi man was not trying to bust your ***** or anything of the sort. a built b series engine doesnt matter what size can run low 12s

colejjones has a tune. the race wasnt even close. we asked the kid if he was sure that it was fully built. he said yup, fully built and his friend confirmed. needless to say, they were surprised. cool thing was they didnt throw up any of the usual excuses, like "its not running right" or "you jumped the start" or "i missed a shift" i would also say that a lnf with a tune and tires can also run 12's no problem. whats so hard to believe?

I had a gutted, caged, b16 swapped 91 si (weighed about 1900 pounds wet)...Zdyne ecu conversion, full exhaust, intake and a couple other goodies...and my buddy's Stg 2 SS/SC (SSCharged07on here) balt pulled me pretty good...I mean those swapped hatches are quick...but not that quick...and an LS-VTEC would pull a B16...but not by too much. Outcome of this race was as expected.
