My friend Scott has a 2003 Z06 6-speed and a bunch of us are always out screwing around. His car did something to the tune of 460whp on the last dyno day we had and it is QUICK. Even a 600+whp Cobra can barely beat him. So a couple nights ago we were out screwing around and I decided to go all out with the Redline since this is the last weekend on the blower before the turbo goes on.
Here are the results. First race both in second gear at about 40mph and of course the drag radials on my car just roast off and he's ahead of me by like two cars already and I had to let off. The brand new SPEC stage 4 was slipping already in this race, but once it slipped that one time bad it didn't really let go again all night.

This is the GOOD race. We both were at about 50mph in third gear. I honked and admittedly took a slight jump on him and we just kept going to about 150 or so before we let off. Check the white lines in the road lol.

Hey street dreamz, you did not go over about 125 mph , that's the speed the white lines start to blur and become one, which never happened in your video. Close though. No cams, no other internal upgrades, I doubt your car will last long. Never turn the redline limit of your car up when it's not built to handle it!!! you're just asking for it to blow up.

Also, I have the HPT log from that night and according to it I hit 139mph in that race, BUT I did not have the speedo rescaled for the 245/45R17 Nitto drags I was running. We have a difference of 1.1" which is 4.3% difference. So take 4.3% of 139 and you will see I was actually doing about 145, which is consistent with the owner of the Vette's readings that night. Note that I shifted into 5th gear at right around 140mph, can you explain that one either cheif? So 50-145 on a 150 shot of nitrous and the car held together just fine, sounds like you all need to go back to the drawing board.
And just as moron #4900932 explained about 15 pages back, every camera shows the white lines blurring at different speeds, depending on the quality of the camera.
Just because you are too much of a ***** to up your redline, doesn't mean the car can't handle it. Guys who were building the Ecotec 6 years ago were living at 7500rpm all day long on the same springs every LSJ motor has in them. I have a dyno chart of me making more and more power clear to 7300rpm on a dyno before I let off. Trust me, the motor can hande it. It's been running like this since about April. It's now October.
Why don't you go read some more about other people who actually blew their cars up because they were dumb.

Isn't this car the one that's being sold with the belt off the blower because it won't run with the belt on the blower? Or is that a different silver redline with the Saturn emblem on the sides? Not trying to be an ass, just curious.

man i just got done reading entire 28 pages!! tell ya something.... there is 10 people sitting at a table all of them enjoying apple pie. then one person out of the blue says man this is some good peach pie! the other 9 people are puzzled as in wtf! they try tell that person no im sorry its apple pie not peach. he keeps on insisting its a peach pie when its clear as day and night that it really is an apple pie. you sir look like a peach pie person when u claim u got a z06 killer! if that guy in the z06 u raced in the vids was some stranger that u never met before he would have handed u your ass instead of taking off at 50 in 3rd gear!
