1989 Jeep Cherokee-1 2.2 cobalt sedan-0

SO im heading to the next bar in my beater when i realize im in the wrong lane. I start creeping to get the jump on the light then stop cause i was a lil to far ahead. The light turns green and i give the jeep a healthy push of the throttle to get that I6 auto moving up the hill. Just then i realize this cobalt is taking off at teh same pace as me. I mash it and its on. The jeeps auto tranny upshifts into 2nd and i jump about a 1/4 car...approaching 60iirc the jeep hits 3rd and for a box on wheels...hits it stride and walks away from the cobalt...Tho im assuming they let off in defeat. Good thing as my speedo only goes to 85...then i set the jeep into the on ramp corner and off i went in my wood grain warrior

You get more races with that jeep than I do with the SS.

I missed if you gave him victory lights.

damn jeeps. i had a 1991 buick park avenue with the 3.8 V6 and my friend had a 1996 cherekee with the 4.0 I6. and damn it surprised me taking my buick by a half a car length. i was soo pissed off. but im pretty sure my cobalt could take it no problem.

My dad has a 96 Grand Cherokee with v8. 4wd. I used to love taking that thing out to kill some civics!
