Must have been the older one. I walked all over my buddys G5. I think its the tranny calibrations though cause the 2.2s have a decent amount more power than the hyundai 2.0l. We were both automatics and I could let him floor it then I'd floor it and walk past like he was sitting still.

I just got home from racing my buddy in the 2011 tC.
Sorry there is no video. I couldn't find anyone to do it for me and i can't film and drive at the same time.
We lined up in the Texas Motor Speedway parking lot (its super long and straight) We started from a stop and took 3 runs. My friend was the one saying "go". First run I had a slow shift into 2nd and we went back and forth through the gears until about 115 when i had him by about a car length and he left off. He said he was really nervous that run and he wanted to go again.
Second run he left before he even said go and I got two pretty quick shifts into second and third, but I was still on right on his tail. I would gain a little then fall back a little until we go to 110 and i let off. I called him a cheater and he said he would run again.
Third run I honked for the go. It was pretty much a repeat of run 1 except we ran to 120 and my speedo needle started to wrap and I let off.
I really want to get it on video so i'm still gonna try to find someone to film next time we run.
Long story short I would put my money on a 2.2 5 speed manual over a tC auto any day.

Not very surprising since you are a standard. I hadn't realized that. If you were an auto with no tune I bet you would lose bad. Not talking crap, but I would almost bet you would lose bad against a 5 speed version of the 2011 tC since the transmission calibrations from factory on almost all automatic cars that aren't very performance oriented is pretty mild.
