2.4 N/A vs 3800 monte
2.4 couldnt keep up...which is sort of surprising since i have a 3500 lb car (full of myself and electrician tools and a full tank) vs a 3000 lb car (a passenger - heavy one too)
******* 108 mph limiter SUCKS
im totally stock BTW
we were just toying around - i saw the "SS" badges so i thought "**** i have to" - went next to him and nailed it...slowed down cause he couldnt keep up - then he blew by and i caught him (while he was still WOT)

you have a 1998 monte, thats a high 15 second car when NEW, so either the 2.4 was auto, which still woulda made it a fairly even race or it was a 5 speed with a not so good driver.

hmmm, I have a 2.4L and I was beating a new style Monte Carlo SS (non-S/C) all day at the track a couple weeks ago. I was running 15.7-15.9 and he was running 15.9-16.3

well you made it sound like this car didnt keep up at all so this is why were guessing thats what it is lol. A 2.2 5 speed should be a dead even match for ur monte
