haha niothing wrong with the 2.2 man!! its not that far behind the SS/NA. You are going to be able to modify yours sooner than his, so keep that 4grand and wait for a turbo or supoercharge, heck they might be available right now!! but i dont think they are... sorry iam not very very familiar with the 2.2. But i know ther are working or have stuff for yours!! reaserch!! Oh and the RK body kit looks sick, better than the SS/na or SC!!

I've raced a couple of the newer SI's...I ahve an auto 2.4 Pursuit...beat 2 of them, the third one he won by about a car and a half length, but it took a lot longer than 1/4 mile stretch...lol
Those cars have like what, 120 for torque? lol. Off the line I was way ahead of them, then they start catching up towards the end...

I had my 2.2 ECO powered Cavi running 14.6's in a 1/4 for not a ton of cash. Don't sell that 2.2 short cause they are by no means junk. You got what you could aford so just mod it a little and be running 14's, its not hard man.

well I'm gonna race a 07 SI on friday yall think I have a chance? My performance mods are Injen CAI, and 2.5in borla XR1 exhaust
heres the stat wars lol
06 civic SI weight: 2890 w/o driver 197 hp, 139 torque(car and driver specs)
2.4 SS weight 2930 w/ driver so its give or take some weight, 171hp, 163 torque
weight both cars are equal, SI has 26 more HP, and the SS has 24 more torque so what yall think?

i guess he *could* beat him, but it is extremely unlikely. gsrs can run 14's stock pretty easily.

A stick 2.4 i can see having a chance...the manual 2.4 runs lowish mid 15's, so thats close enough where an Si driver brainfart could cost him the race, but the auto 2.4 runs high 15's all day, just can't see that.
