2.4 versuses modded civic hatch (early to mid 90s)
This race happened way back in July, but since reading the thread on civic si's, it came to mind again (forgot to post it back then)
anyway
cruisin on the way home from a friend's house in roselle, traveling north on euclid at a fairly nice cruising speed, about 50 in a 45.
One of my friends was in the car at the time too, all of sudden there's a high rev coming from our left, it looked to be a heavily modded civic hatch. Dont remember if it was turbo'd or not...MY car was completely stock at the time
we roll up to a red light, he revs a little, throw it into N for a little reving too, then back into drive (didnt know about the L-->I technique back then and god damn wish this car was a stick, soooo much more fun to me to drive a stick) ANYWAY
palms sweety on the wheel because of the fact that he might have a turbo or something an embarass me with his half rusted honda, well the light turns green, we both WOT, with a schreeeeech from my tires, and the whole entire time we were neck and neck, then we shut it down at 60 because that road had a 30mph speed limit.
well for one he had tein springs, made obvious by the big ass tein stick in place of where 'civic' used to sit
any other ideas what the hell he couldve had done?
follow-up: this car has crossed me more then 20 times in 2 months its crazy, seen him driving around, seen him parked in front of some house

haha oh for sure now he'll get eaten up, without an extra passenger and with an intake
but he actually mightve had a supercharger/turbo, taking into consideration that it couldve been a low 100hp civic, and that would bring it up to 200 or so
this is what wikipedia says: "A 1500 cc 16-valve fuel injected engine giving 92 hp (68 kW) was used in the DX hatchback/sedan" the picture looks exactly like his car
but why in HELL would you put a charger on this thing?!

on the turbo'd balt, the whp was around 240 something right?
thats a little under 100hp increase over stock
if you put a turbo on a 92 hp car with horribly low torque, that would bring it to about what 2.4s are stock
seems logical
