2.4ss vs. 04 s2000

well my best friend has a 04 s2000 and just for fun (we both knew what the outcome would be, we lined them up from a dig, we went on the third honk, 0-20 cobalt ahead by a fender, 50 still ahead, 60 he pulled about 1/2 a car, 70+ he was gone, after i hit 80 he had 5 legnths, the balt lost but in style, he was impressed. i was happy to loose to such a beautiful and fast car.

My friend has got a 05' s2000, and he's got a turbo in it with some invidia exhausts on the back... That is fast! I also have a 2.4 SS, and he was behind me coming closer, and dropping back at all speeds.

I'm gonna go race a S2000 now and see what happens maybe I'll find someone that doesn't know how to drive lol, actually there is one that lives somewhere in my neighborhood black with the ugliest exhaust in the world. He always revs up to me.

I'm a big-time Honda enthusiast also. I've driven an S2000 before and never liked them since. it looks real nice, but wasn't as quick as I thought it'd be.

The spelling isn't what I was pointing out it was the name in general.

And S2000 don't " fly " at 60mph plus, that may be a point where they feel fast but everything else was already fast up to that point and beyond.

Why do people with Vtec always talk about being fast after 50mph, 60mph and so on?

Like I stated above most cars in the same class have linear acceleration from 0-whatever.
