Did you build on the stock block? 6 Speed? What about engine management?

Sweet,i just bought a new home and the guy down the street has one nice tricked out supra. depending on how life swings in the next two years, I could be steppin into something badass again, or I just might keep the 2.4 and get me a Toyota Tacoma as well, but this is now so I am just goin to do a few more bolt ons and a tune and Ill be very content.

My Si put down 176 hp/131 lb torq. when i went with SilverSS to the dyno on 7/1/06 but the temperature was 104/humid 10%. but the 06 Si can break into high 14's easily for example,
http://www.fgcoupe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=921
he ran a 14.2 with just an exhaust.
not hating on the cobalts, im a chevy fan!

here's the pic of my dirty Si,
the downside about this car so far is that there's no torq. but backs it up by 197hp i-vtak! haha there's rev-hold on the Si when shifting, the e-brake gets in the way if you're tall, shift knob gets so hot that i cant shift, alot of blindspots in the back, engine bay is really small to work with.

Si's cannot handle a 2.4L SS
I have street raced 4 so far and they were never even close to keeping up with me.
At high speed it's a joke, since they have no torque... you throw in the 3rd gear and ciao bye the Si is gone in the rearview mirror
From start, they keep up 1st gear, and they let go near the end of our 2nd
Never raced one when I was stock though.
My first kill was with a Vector tune and a Rebel 3'' CAI.
But still, a buddy of mine also smoked one on the highway and the Si couldn't kee up.

Si stock beats 2.4 L stock without question. And contrary to what you said, torque would help them more down low, they'll put a 2.4 even higher up top cause they have something called VTEC. There was just a thread about this and it was like WWIII.
If you beat 4 of them, thank baby Jesus because none of them can drive. It's a tough car to perfect very much like the SC.

and a SS 2.4 reaches their peak torque at... let me think... 5500 RPM?
like I said, I've tried 4 so far and none beat me
thanks for calling me a retard
oh and 2.4's are not bad. throw in an intake, tune and full exhaust (header, DP, catback) and you can pretty much keep up with any S/C out there.... so it's logical for me to beat an SI

Peak torque means nothing if you have the right gearing. Are you stock?
No problem because...
...you proved it right there.

no i'm not
Rebel 3'' intake
Vector tune
GMPP mani, SC downpipe, 2.5 custom catback
but you're right Si's have the right gearing to take advantage of that from what I was able to read on the web
wtf?? so what now, you say a stock SC can't pass an Si??
(i meant stock SC in my previous post of course........... though you would understand that)

I was just trying to bring up the point that back with just an intake and vector tune I won over the Si... so stock... i dunno, never tried
my point is:
a stock SC wins over a stock Si
with a few mods, you can bring up a SS 2.4 to a SC level
so it's logical for it to beat the Si
but like I said a buddy of mine told me he beat one from start when he was stock
anyway, let's not start a stupid war over this, i'm out.. bed time

I know that

You may be able to nip a few unsuspecting STOCK Si's with that set-up but if the person can drive the Si, it should still pull. How many SS/NA's are running 14.5s with I/T? None?
